I love that my children attend Decas Elementary School. My children share with me new things they are learning and how they work hard to be responsible, respectable and safe.

My child was bullied and tormented by another student and the school wouldn’t do anything to help. I had no choice but to pull him and put him into another school.

I absolutely LOVE the Decas. We had heard so many negative reviews prior to having our daughter start school here. I have to say that all the critics are wrong. The teachers are very involved, as with every school in every town you will find apathetic parents. The drug epidemic has ravaged towns all throughout the state. Some can cover it over more than others. This is a town that needs more middle class families to move in to revive this lovely town. Many millennials such as ourselves relocated to this seaside suburb to raise our children. You can have coastal and country living here. The best of both worlds. The mountains are only 1-2 hours away. The kids are great, well mannered, parents are polite and open. Like with every town, you always will have one or two that will make carry a stereotype. They are looking to build a new elementary school. Keep an eye on Wareham. Good change is coming, the new superintendent of schools and the new middle school principal and energetic and bringing innovation. Lets go Vikings!

I am a parent of two children at Decas. My children have both had fantastic teachers. It is not just up to the school to educate our children. Parent involvement in their childs education is a large part of what helps them succeed. When a child feels his parents care about school it helps them care. It is the little things like looking at their work when they bring it home, getting involved any way you can....go to your child's open house!
