I am a retired teacher. My grandson attends Leptondale Elementary School as a kindergartener. His teacher, Mrs. Murphy is an amazing professional that understands the special needs of her student children during this incredibly challenging times. She has an amazing support team of co-teachers and para-professionals. This school provides concierge services for their special needs students and they are all amazing. I have met them all during escorted pickup and I am truly amazed at their loving support. How do I know, my grandson gushes over them, and tells me so! Thank you Mrs. Murphy and all the teachers and Administration at this school. Don't hesitate to send your little ones here!

Excellent, teachers respond to concern immediately by phone or email. Principle Brown has created a culture of respect and truly cares about the students and community. The PTO holds great after school functions such as the halloween field day and lucky bingo. Very pleased.

What an excellent school! I am so pleased with the building leadership and the caliber of teachers. The district as a whole has been extremely smart in the decisions it has made. Examples are the school budget, the new bond and the ability to avoid major staffing cuts that have affected Newburgh, Marlboro and Valley Central schools.
