We moved our three elementary aged children to St Joes for the September 2020 school year. We were not happy with what we were seeing with COVID protocols and the push to keep kids virtual from our public school. Our son, who was in K when COVID happened, was already struggling with reading. We were unsure if we were making the right choice, but within the first few weeks I knew we did and questioned why we hadn’t made the move sooner. The teachers are incredible. Our son was getting caught up and reading on his own! Our two daughters were both thriving and loving school, their teachers and peers. I’m impressed by the curriculum and was shocked what they were missing from their time in public school. This was definitely our families COVID silver lining.

Our son began at St. Joe's when he entered 6th grade. It has been the best decision we ever made; he is thriving with the small class size and the teachers are amazing! St. Joe’s instills the timeless values that are missing today, it’s simply a diamond in the rough. It provides a strong Catholic foundation. When COVID hit, his teachers/staff transitioned quickly setting up a remote learning experience. It has gone extremely well, and the school has a firm grasp on how to transition into remote learning very quickly! Bullying/Clicks/Vaping are not issues here, it is a safe and welcoming environment. We love the fact that the older students watch over the younger students. The school has: Basketball, Ski and Snowboard Club, Drama club, Chess club, Robotics, Cross Country, Music and Art Program, Speech and Debate team. If you are on the fence about sending your child/children to this school, you will not be disappointed in choosing St. Joe’s; they will thoroughly enjoy the experience!

I have thoroughly cherished my son's education here at St. Joseph's School. This is our fourth year, and I have LOVED every minute! My son simply feels LOVED at St. Josephs! My son feels valued. His voice is heard. My son has become a polite, well-mannered, helpful, and successful student at St. Joseph's School. He has learned so much about his faith, and now it is such an integral part of his life. I cannot be more pleased by all the efforts by the administration and staff at St. Joseph's School. It is truly like a second family. Truly, it was the best decision we could have made!

I honestly can’t say enough about St. Joseph School in Wakefield. I have sons in 6th grade and 7th grade. The small class sizes allow for individualized attention. This school has some of the most creative, unique, caring teachers that I’ve ever encountered. The 5th grade teacher does a lot of project based learning that encompasses research, writing, presentations, creating a model (ex. a Mayan temple), and learning culturally relevant songs. The creative writing program is second to none. It is excellent preparation for their rigorous middle school program that will prepare them well for any high quality private or public high school. Our students are known for their comfort in public speaking; they get a lot of practice. The small class sizes also allow the teachers to stay on top of monitoring social media etc. that our middle schoolers may be on. They are positioned well to make sure our kids navigate these waters safely and appropriately. St. Joseph School is a gem!

We LOVE this school! The faculty and administration care about each student. There is a wonderful community of parents who support one another. The academics are fantastic. My children are challenged and love to go to school each day. There are great after school activities (drama, ski, basketball, track, chess, test kitchen, etc). We couldn't be happier!

We started St. Joseph School last year and could not be more happy with our choice! My kindergartner and 4th grader feel loved and cared about, while being challenged academically. The teachers are the best!

I love Saint Joseph School! My three daughters went there from pre-school through 8th grade. The teachers are excellent. They work very hard in the classroom and before and after school to make sure the students get what they need to get a top rated learning experience. All the students learn the Golden Rule from the time they enter until they leave. The students are respectful and caring. Not only are academics taught, but the students are taught to give back in many different and creative ways. There are a variety of extra curricular activities, i.e. basketball, free STEM, chess club, drama club, to name a few. The science lab is beautiful. There is a real community with this school. The parents work together to help make this school special. I have so many wonderful friends from my time at Saint Joe's. This is a must see school. You will not be disappointed.

Nice small school with strong academics and Christian values. The students are extremely respectful of each other & their teachers. Impressive amount of extracurricular activities offered even for younger grades ( drama, ski club, cross country, basketball team, robotics, instruments).

Overall a great school. Teachers and staff are always positive and helpful! Only drawback is due to size no labs, gym, or cafeteria.

The school is a very different place than it was when this child went through Saint Joseph School. You need to visit it to appreciate the significance. This child's experiences would have been significantly different in a very positive way.

We left another Catholic School in our hometown and have been happy with St. Joe's. The parents are welcoming and very involved, the teachers professional and thorough, and the principal very involved, responsive, and no nonsense..
