Coming from Connecticut Farms, I would say this was not an improvement. One of the gym teachers point out the obvious. In gym, we played this game in which a lot of people got injured and the gym teachers said that you were okay so go to the nurse. In Connecticut Farms the gym teachers would stop the whole class just to see if you were okay, these gym teachers do nothing. At lunch, my friends and I are all split up. We have these lunch periods in which my period has none of my friends. I'm basically a loner going to lunch. In fourth grade, I loved lunch, this one makes a whole difference. In leadership, they go all out. I feel like we focus more on leadership in the homeroom more than we do the actual subject like language arts. I used to enjoy school, now I don't. The only time I'm having a good time is when I'm on the bus with my actual friends.

My son loves to go at Jefferson. He is always looking forward to attend the class. The teachers are great with special mention to Mrs. Wahlers whom my son said is very patient, calm, dedicated, and caring to her students.

My 2 children went to this school and loved it. They always say they had a good experience attending this school and can't say any negative stuff about it.

Teachers did nothing but complain about how overworked they were. When you hear things like "in honor of Spring break, everyone gets 100" makes you think they put little effort in the grading of ALL projects. Also gave bogus grades to bump up child's average. Poor communication from both teachers and administration. One teacher sent a 10 year old to the office to get her coffee. Thank goodness this school was just one year. My child watched lots of movies though......

My child coming from Connecticut farms school into Jefferson Middle School i was expecting this "Brand new School" to be better than the average and to my surprise i was wrong. Teachers have no communication skills, a lack of caring and professionalism. Their were numerous occasions where i have request a call or email and received nothing in return. My sons homework planner was never checked for notes or follow ups. They would write me a note and asked to have it signed by myself and would not follow up to make sure that i did. My son has difficulties in math, not once was he offered extra help or classes to get him through it. I guess coming from a school where they have great teachers and staff my family was spoiled.

This school is very diverse in ethnicity which makes all the better for the curricular activities. The learning here is superb, the teachers are strict when necessary, but they make learning the subjects more fun for the kids by conducting fun and educative projects and such.
