Transitioning to Crossroads Christian School after retiring from public school has been an amazing experience. The sweetest students, families, and staff are part of this wonderful covenant community. With a Charlotte Mason philosophy guiding the instruction, students experience a rigorous curriculum with a hands-on/minds-on approach. Shorter school days, learning outside, teacher guided instructional Homeschool days, high academic achievement, a newly implemented Horizons program that targets struggling learners, and excellent teachers are only a few reasons Crossroads is an exceptional place.

I have had three children at Crossroads, and it is a wonderful school with dedicated teachers. My children love going to school every day and look forward to the hands-on activities. They are high achievers and are fully engaged. The school uses Charlotte Mason methods and has high standards. My oldest was fully prepared for honors and AP classes in high school.

As a third year parent at Crossroads Christian School, we are so blessed to have found this school. With small class sizes and parental involvement welcomed, we feel very connected to our children's education on a daily basis. Our dedicated teachers love the Lord and are intentional about bringing Christ's teachings into every subject. We are so grateful for this school.

Sadly, this could be a great school. Unfortunately, the teacher turnover is high due to lack of support and poor pay.Academically there is a wide range of student achievement at this school, but it is now geared toward the students who are struggling academically. The focused, high achievers find little challenge in the curriculum. Even being a Christ centered school little time is spent reading and exploring the word of God or praying. Only 15 minutes out of every day is actually set aside for the most important subject matter. Again, this could be an excellent school, but much needs to improve.

We are a small private Christian school meeting in Tyrone First Baptist Church. The school has been in existence for more than 20 years. Our philosophy is based on Charlotte Mason's teachings. We consider partnering with parents one of our main emphases. Our parents actually teach in the First and Second grades. There is a great sense of working together for the sake of the children. We keep our tuition low as we work together focusing on God, His Word and the power of Jesus Christ through the Spirit. We strive to learn about this world and the next teaching our children to think and apply what they are learning.
