All of my kids have started at Jackson, and though there have been times when I felt like it was the forgotten school within Chapel Hill ISD I certainly cannot claim that now that Mrs. Carpenter is there. Mrs. Carpenter has come in and made some much-needed changes within the school, faculty, and just overall. Jackson is becoming a school we can all be proud of!!

I love the community. This school is in a great location for those of us who live around the area. I’ve had 3 kids at this school. The teachers have been great, always communicating with parents. The administration is great, we’ve had a couple changes from when my oldest started Jackson and it is the best yet.

This school has been turned around in the last couple of years! The administration is very attentive and the creative learning going on really has the children engaged.

Terrible! Jackson elementary is the worst school I ever taken my son to. They do not care about the education of my child, and the kids all they talk about is sex and guns!!!!! These kids are in elementary! Blows my mind, My 7year old came home talking about sex and when I told the principal she couldn't care less. The school is in a terrible neighborhood surrounded by crackheads and drug dealers! Take your child and run!!!!!!! They also yell at parents if they are in the hall after 8am

I had a child attend this school and he was denied breakfast because he had a $-1.00 balance. So that night I deposited money through a online site they offer. The next day he was also denied breakfast. My child came home crying two days in a row. I called the school and spoke with some of the staff and they said it was their policy if a child is in the negative they can deny a child breakfast. Which made no sense to me since I had put money in his account the night before. They said the online service takes 1-2 days to post (but they can see the funds pending on their end). The people I spoke with had no sympathy at all for my child or me. All they did was repeat to me over and over that was the policy. So your better of sending a check or just pack their lunch. Most horrible experience I have gone through in my LIFE to know my child was not fed at school like he was suppose to over a $1.00!!!!
