This is our first year at clarkston, and at first I was very upset that we weren’t able to go to the school that we went to previously … however, the entire staff goes above and beyond for the kiddos!! The teachers stay in contact DAILY, there’s so many different ways to stay in the loop of how your kid is doing academically & behavior wise, they make every day special and fun starting at drop off! The school is an extremely nice facility & for breakfast & lunch they offer the kiddos multiple different options to make sure there’s something everyone will like! The fundraisers, open houses, and everything they have is SO much fun for the kids & parents!! So glad to get to experience this school with both of our kiddos!!

We love Clarkston! Since the principal change in the 22-23 school year, we have noticed a huge improvement in family engagement and teaching staff. The teachers care about our kids and the principal is always visible. The academic and demographics information on this page is inaccurate.

My daughter was struggling as an incoming Kindergartener last year, without any formal pre-K she started a little behind her classmates. Our amazing Principal and her wonderful teacher Ms. Bruno-Busby got her on track with additional resources to help her succeed! Currently she is thriving in 1st grade & receives one-on-one assistance as well as additional resources outside of the classroom with their reading specialist Mr. Line. I’m blown away by the resources they have in place on this campus to help my girl succeed. Clarkston was the best choice we ever made!

Clarkston use to be a good school, the last two years hasn't been good at all. Everybody in the front office need to be replaced, even some of the teachers. They have very nasty attitudes, wrong place to be working when children is involved. Just rude for no reason, teachers are good actors, in front of the parents they act like they are sweet as pie, like your child is in good company, only for your children to come home with stories about how the teachers did this in that. Praying this school district get it together.

My child was doing amazing academically before arriving to this school. The teachers refuse to do their jobs such as giving my child the homework needed, no library book sent home ever, would put my child in a random vehicle without knowing who adult was on numerous occasions. Couldn’t tell me where my son was when he was supposed to be on the bus. Ghetto principal who rather fight with you than to resolve an issue in the school.

As soon as this year is over, I am transferring my child. The principal does not have a good repore with her teachers or parents. But I bet she is happy to park right in the front in her Mercedes. She does not care about the students and what they need. Only to have a butt in the seat.

Terrible. my child will not be attending next year. Also am unhappy that the children are made to wear uniforms but the teachers have what it seems an open dress code. How is that teaching children to be structured or uniformed.

Very unorganized and the teachers are not patient with the students.

The leadership at this school had declined in recent years.
