Excellent public school in a great family-friendly community. This school has great teachers who want to make a difference, an administration that cares about its teachers and staff, and security officer and SRO that are fantastic with the kids. Voted one of the top CT Middle Schools. This school was the leader among public schools in its day. It has a greenhouse, a pool and even had a planetarium. Would love to see the planetarium working again.

The administration at this school and culture of this school is deplorable. There are definitely some decent teachers but they are overshadowed by the acceptance of extremely bottom level teachers. The psychologists and social workers at this are inept and uncaring which the administration is well aware of but chooses to ignore. Their anti bullying policies are just for show. There are good schools in Trumbull this is not one of them.

I have a special needs child and the school provided a nurturing environment. He had a great team of teachers, paras and the top level officials were extremely supportive! What a gratifying experience we had at Hillcrest and my son misses his school so!

If you have a child with special needs beware! I wish I had known before the damage of not addressing my sons issues was done.
