I had heard great things about this school when we were looking for a rental house. Now that my child is in this school, it is the worst school ever. The principal is horrible and could care less about what my child is going through. She has threatened us because of him missing some days. This school has given him a lot of stress and has hurt him emotionally. If I could get him out I would but I have no other option right now. Good thing it is only one year. Stay away from here.

With the current principal everything is going down hill. Lack of leadership and professionalism is really hurting this school. If you want to move to Trumbull stay away from Frenchtown!!!

Please check the dates from the previous reviews. We moved to Trumbull in 2018 because of the "stellar" school system. The education system here is a disappointment. Its like taking your kids to a glorified daycare. My kids barely get homework and when they do, the teachers dont even check to see if its correct. If you're buying a house based on school system, try Fairfield stay away from Trumbull.

Son went to Frenchtown from k to 4th. Everything seemed great. His test scores were good and he was in some of the advanced classes. We moved this year and have found that what he learned at FT is drastically behind what is expected at his new school. This is most obvious in the math and science subjects. He is now pulling double duty to catchup which is strange as he was advanced math at Ft. On a positive FT was very friendly although a bit of overly PC and pandering to all the noisey parents. My advice to Jackie is dont hold back the entire class for a few slow learners , keep an eye on some of the tenured coasters, and would be nice to have some gender diversity in the ranks (99% females in teaching and admin spots).

The best school ever without a doubt! I loved every moment of Frenchtown. I'd like to give special shoutouts to the principal and vice principal for doing an excellent job with scheduling and planning events. I would also like to say that the teachers are exceptionally caring and loving. The teachers are the highlight of the school. The 5th grade teacher, Ms. Demshak has inspired and cared for the kids and would definitely like to thank her. I will definetly never forget this amazing school. It's exceptional

School is spectacular, teachers are great. Having moved from CT two years ago where my two kids went to "French town", regret is the only thing I can say. Frenchtown is the greatest school ever and the move has been a terrible experience and a horrible downgrade that I will regret for the rest of my life. My fingers are crossed that we can move back soon and away from the current dull school and away from this bad experience. BTW we are seriously moving back just to move our kids from their current horrible school and put the smile back on their faces at French town El.

I am now in 6th grade at Hillcreast Middle School. I went to Frenchtown for 6 years. Let me tell you if you want a good school dont come here. This is an awsome school with only the best teachers and the best principle Mrs.Norcel. They teach Technolegy. They also have air conditioning.
