The principal is not supportive of the children and their families, he’s all for himself and the money.

When looking for a school for my most precious commodities, my children, I searched both Bridgeport and surrounding towns. St. Andrew Academy was the only school that satisfied my criteria: welcoming, strong curriculum, student friendly, and most of all parents had a positive experience. My girls have been there two years and I’m still happy with my decision.

My family and I recently move to CT from NYC . As we were searching for schools , we came across St. Andrew. Both the Principal and the school Secretary made the transition so easy. We were provided with a packet that had everything we needed to get our son enrolled for school . We were still in NY while handling enrollment and if we had any questions communication was accessible. The school curriculum is one of the best . My son learned Spanish at the age of 4. The class sizes are very small, therefore the teachers are able to give the students more attention as well as determining their educational needs . Every week parents will receive a weekly email with important information regarding school updates. Communication is the key and the communication has been amazing. The plan is for our son to remain in this school until it’s time to graduate from the 8th grade . My family and I are proud to be apart of the St. Andrew Family .

My son attends St Andrews since kindergarten and we couldn't be happier. The teachers, the principal and office staff are always very helpful and nice. I know that my son is safe and learning everyday the skills he needs to be successful. Even during COVID times the school pulled together in such an amazing way that I couldn't be more proud to be part of this beautiful family. I absolutely recommend St Andrew Academy 100%.

My daughter is been there since kindergarten, now she's a 6 grader , we love the teachers and she also did her first communion at the parish.

Excellence, that it is the word that comes to mind about St. Andrew Academy. My twin boys who are 6 years old have been attending St. Andrew since Pre K and we could not be happier with the education that the wonderful teachers and staff provides to them.My boys started reading at the age of 4 years old because of the excellent education from the well qualified and nurturing teachers at the school. At the early stage of the Covid Pandemic, Schools in general were trying to find a way to provide a safe education for the kids. Friends of Ours whose kids were in public schools were delayed or unable to continue classes because public schools did not have a concise plan to provide schooling for the kids safely. St. Andrew Academy excelled in preparing and implement their plan of action to educate the students of St. Andrew’s with computers for every child with step by step assistance and all the websites the teachers were going to use during online classes as well as printed homework and class work for every student. They also connected us with Zoom for their distance learning every day classes. It was so well planned. We are so grateful for that because we all know this Pandemic has taken a toll on everyone in different ways and knowing that my kids’ school is ahead of the game regarding our kids education during this pandemic it is definitely a peace of mind for us the parents.We recommend St. Andrew Academy 100% for the great education they provide to Our kids.

We couldn’t be any happier being apart of the loving family environment that St. Andrew has offered our daughter for the past 4 years. Our daughter is now in 2nd grade and it’s truly amazing to see all the children grow together through out the years. It makes the new school year start with much ease, seeing familiar faces each year. The staff has been completely attentive and supportive throughout the years as well. Our daughter has needed extra support with reading and math, the teachers and staff have done an amazing job making sure all her individual needs are met and that she maintains her confidence while learning. We couldn’t ask for anything more then to know our child is receiving so much love, care and support while in a safe school! I absolutely intend to remain with St. Andrew until 8th grade!

St. Andrew Academy of Bridgeport is a great school. My son started 1st grade there and he is a 4th grader now and it is because of their high standard and effort that was displayed over the years that I decided to enroll my daughter as well. St Andrew Academy provides a Christian based foundation along with a great academic curriculum. They encourage and nurture students while preparing them to be leaders and to succeed in life. The students are taught Catholic values and it is also culturally diverse. The Principal and staff lead by example and are exceptionally friendly and maintain excellent communication with parents. They also provide before and after school programs which is immensely helpful to us as parents. The St. Andrew Academy school community is one of the best there is, and I am proud to be a part of it. I certainly recommend this school for any family who can appreciate excellence on every level from a school, you will not be disappointed.

St. Andrew has been great to my family and I. My daughter has been attending the school since Kindergarten and I have no complaints. The teachers are very loving/caring. Most importantly, the communication is amazing. The class sizes are very small, therefore the teachers are able to give the students more attention. Educationally speaking, my daughter has received help in her weak areas and has shown great improvement. In addition, she has been on the honor roll for the last few marking periods. I would definitely recommend St. Andrew to families who are looking for a good education for their children.

My daughter started St. Andrews Academy in 2nd grade, its one of the best descions i have made. I had her in a public school prior. There academics are great, very good communication with parents. My daughter has had her weaknesses in certain subjects but within the last couple of years she has bloomed, getting excellent grades. The staff and principal Mr. Holmes are wonderful. I highly recommend this school. Its been a great experience. My daughter has 2 more years left and on to high school.

St Andrew Academy is the best kept secret in Bridgeport! A rigorous curriculum that encourages critical thinking envelopes the academics in all grades!Moreover, the small class sizes allows teachers to truly learn the learning styles of each student and as a result, the majority of students in most of the grades are reading at or above grade level and are performing at or above grade level in math. If a student is struggling in any area, the teachers are readily available for extra help to ensure academic achievement.

PART 1 : School may seem as a nice caring environment but trust me it's a facade. It lures in and fools the families of younger children and can even fool the parents. Most of the teachers are unfair, even to other teachers. If you do something Mrs. O'niell or that a teacher does not like it is automatically disrespectful. An explanation from the child is not even allowed to be spoken. A whole class is punished for one student it not snitching. If you have a phone and a student puts it in the phone box it most likely will be looked through if there is no password. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND PUTTING A SIM LOCK ON. If phone is confiscated it will not be returned for 24 hours. Be sure to read handbook thoroughly because it states that they are not responsible for electronics. Mrs. O'Neill is not approachable and takes everything personal instead of professional. She's quick to put in her personal feelings into a conflict. PLEASE PARENTS DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING THE TEACHERS SAY OR THAT SHE SAYS BECAUSE SHE IS THE PRINCIPAL.

St. Andrew's is a wonderful, caring environment with very high educational standards. My children are thriving there, socially and academically. We have been so pleased with the education they are receiving that my wife and I have chosen to keep them at St.Andrews, even after we have moved to Stratford CT.

My son attends this school and I also attended this school when I was younger. It's a great learning environment and the class room sizes are small enough for the teachers to pay attention to all the students needs. The school lunches are even better then the normal public school lunches. I would defiantly recommend St. Andrews School.

My son attends here. Very helpful and understanding teachers. Small class sizes. After school programs are most helpful. School needs to encourage it's teachers, students and their families to attend the churches and Knights Of Columbus functions more often. The church and the Knights need that participation from it's community. It's all done for the children, to make it a better place for all who go there.
