Education is good unless you want anything harder than 2+2Bullying is never dealt with, even after multiple complaints to the teachers, principal, and entire staff body - I got multiple black eyes, bruises, and a scar on my forehead all from the same 6-8 kids who were never suspended; instead, I was for trying to get help.Teachers are either really kind and teach well or really rude and teach nothing.

Despite a full effort including requesting feedback/assignments/answers etc and constant communication, usually initiated by me as a parent the school felt it necessary to call CPS. I have learned after sharing our experience that this is a common strategy used to deal with "difficult families." If your child does not fit in the traditional student mold, I strongly suggest investigating other school options.

My son went to Glenshire from 2nd through 4th grades. My experience with the principal, Mrs. Kathleen Gauthier, and the school counselor, Ms. Rachel Coles were unacceptable. Mrs. Gauthier failed to follow a very important school policy that’s in place for the specific purpose of being sensitive students’ feelings and emotions, and Ms. Coles blatantly lied to me in person and then challenged me on an issue that was not within her purview or realm of responsibility. However, my experience with the educators was very positive. I was especially impressed with my son's 4th grade teacher, Ms. Roberts. I found her to be committed to her profession and students, extremely well organized, very patient and having a firm yet friendly approach with her students. The Tahoe/Truckee Unified School District touts its “basic aid” status as enabling the district to provide a higher level of academics. Based upon my experience with Glenshire as compared to Peach Hill in the Moorpark school district, I found the reverse to be true.Due to my negative experience with the principal and school counselor, I would first explore alternative campuses before sending my child to this school.

My grandchildren are new to this school and they love it! They came from California and this school is ahead of from where they were. The teachers are so great there already right up there with the rest of the kids. They both really like there teachers, the school and of course the playground!
