I currently have two children attending Open Door School, and we're thrilled that the school now offers grades K3 through 12th grade. It's exciting to know our kids can graduate from here. The curriculum sets a much higher standard than public schools, and we’ve seen remarkable growth in just the past three years, especially with the new administration in place. I truly believe you won’t find a better educational experience.

Open Door uses the well-known Abeka curriculum. With a high standard of learning, students receive a top-notch education. Students begin to learn their letters and numbers in the 3-year-old preschool. By 4-year-old preschool and kindergarten, they are already reading and writing. I love the Biblical approach to all the subjects. The children seem to love school, and this says a lot about the staff and program.

My daughter attended here for 13 years. Got a wonderful education. She did well on her SATs. She attended UVA and graduated and continued to get her education in the health field. She is now sending her children there. These teachers are not there for the money. They love God and teacher that here and take great care of your children. If you want your kids to run wild at school then don't send them there.

It's been an absolutely miserable experience for our family and we are going to ensure that other parents know what they are signing their children up for at this school. We've kept our mouth shut up to this point because of retaliation agains our children.

Both of my children attend Open Door and they have been attending since they started school. I won't lie the Beka program that they use is very challenging and sometimes they do have a lot of homework. The teachers and administrators are very friendly there and I love that they learn the bible. I think now they only go to the 8th grade because they don't have enough students and usually that when parents start transitioning kids to public school. Overall a very good school and the kids come out very smart.
