Mountaintop began as a choice that I knew would be beneficial for the growth of my children. It continues to be that and so much more. My husband and I have acquired numerous resources that have helped us be better parents. My children love school and I know they are gaining skills that they wouldn't receive anywhere else. Mountaintop is an investment, and I know it will serve my children throughout their lifetimes.

As a former parent and current Guide I have two perspectives and both are positive. My family (not just my child) benefited greatly from Montessori. I can’t think of a better way to teach/help children become their best selves or a better place to do it.

As a teacher and a parent of two students who went from the toddler classroom and are now in middle school, I love this place! My children have grown into fine human beings with the help of this great community. They are capable and joyous ! I can't thank everyone enough.

I can't imagine having my three children anywhere other than Mountaintop. My children all started at Mountaintop as toddlers, and my oldest is now in Upper Elementary. Throughout their time at Mountaintop, they have been nurtured academically, socially, and emotionally. They are all thriving!

We have been at the school since 2001. I firmly believe in Montessori education and can think of no other place I'd like my children to be. Mountaintop Montessori is an authentic Montessori experience!

Very positive! It was a great fit for our son who went from Children's House through Middle School.

I didn't know much about Montessori at first. After I did the 1 day class about the learning arc over a child's life - I saw first how just how great the model is and how good the school does at implementing the concepts. Proof is in the pudding.

My daughter has been attending Mountaintop since 1st grade and she is currently in 7th grade. She has loved every moment at Mountaintop and never wants to be absent, even if she's sick. Mountaintop is more than a school, it's home away from home. Everyone (teachers, friends, staff) has become extended family. I cannot recall an incident where my child has been bullied or felt unsafe, unheard, or disrespected. The teachers and staff are very responsive whenever I reach out, so I feel heard and respected as well. Even with a campus full of children, the atmosphere is always calm and peaceful. The schools I attended K-12 felt like prisons, and I felt like a prisoner. I imagine my life would have been very different, and much more enjoyable, if I had been given the same opportunity as the children at Mountaintop. I wish every child, and parent, could experience a learning environment like this.

My three children succeeded in large part thanks to Mountaintop and the foundations built there.

I've had three children enrolled here. We've been with the school for over 12 years. My oldest who graduated several years ago from middle school did the early college program at PVCC and will have her associates degree with a high GPA when she graduates high school having her first two years of college completed and able to transfer. We could not be happier with our experience. Mountaintop is top quality Montessori programming. The negative review below displays a clear lack of understanding of Montessori education. It is an alternative approach that most of us who have not experienced it personally as a child or read about the philosophy would be able to understand by just observing. Montessori views the child in a radically different perspective than the public model. It takes time to understand the scientifically proven method of Montessori, but I can attest if you make the investment in understanding it and you apply the principles in your home for consistency, you will not regret it. MMS is one of the best parenting choices I ever made.

I cannot speak more highly about our experience at Mountaintop. We feel so fortunate that our children are learning and thriving in such a beautiful environment.

As a staff member who has taught at a number of other schools, both Montessori and non-Montessori, I can without hesitation say that the staff at Mountaintop is, as a group, of the highest quality and most professional that you will find at any school. I also have a child who has been attending the school for a number of years, and I have been completely pleased with the environment, teachers, and program that my child has experienced. Mountaintop offers a truly unique educational experience, and I would urge anyone to go and look for yourself.

Run, don't walk, as fast as you can away from this school! There is little to no community among the parents and families, policies are inconsistently enforced and rarely consider the students' needs (screaming children are pulled from cars during "car line"), and while there are some great teachers, there are also some who are actually rude to parents and students. Add to that the fact that on school tours they will show you amazing facilities that younger children will never even see (the music room, the greenhouse, cooking classes, etc, etc) in most cases unless you pony up the money to pay for a Montessori education through middle school, which is not even what Montessori was designed for at all. The poor middle schoolers are running a school store while many of them lack even basic arithmetic calculation skills. They are mostly nice kids, but there are some misguided practices in place at this school.
