In my experience, St. Bernard's seems to be welcoming at first when you are a new family. However, once enrolled and attending, you are quickly categorized as an outsider especially if you have not had generations before that have attended this school. There is a lot of favoritism towards students that have had older siblings and or parents that had previously attended this school or that have family that work at the school. Nepotism is a real factor that plays out in this school. The children that get recognized for academics 1st and foremost are those from these rooted families whether they carry out grades or not. My child is a straight A student, well spoken, respectful individual, who is friendly with everyone and didn't get recognized for Student of the Month until the last month of the school year. It took a toll on her confidence and also made her question her abilities in comparison to those students that aren't as academically astute as she is. Don't waste your money here. You are only benefiting the generational families that attend St. Bernard's.

My daughter has been going to St. Bernard’s since preschool and will be starting Kindergarten this year. The school, teachers and staff are amazing. Every morning I feel at ease knowing my daughter is in good hands and is in a safe environment with those who have a compassion for teaching.

Amazing school that feels like family. Kids are held to high standards of academics, spirituality and social responsibility.

St. Bernard’s is an amazing school! It is actually one of safest schools in San Joaquin county. The classroom sizes are small. They’re very involved with the parents & care takers of the students. The school does so many fundraisers for the needy & makes sure that the students & family members get involved. There is such a high focus on education, creativity, & character.

We have been sending our children here for the past four years and have had a very positive experience. Our youngest attends the preschool. The teachers we have experienced have been great and our children are excelling. We love the family friendly environment, lots of family fun nights and other events. They uphold high standards in academics and behavior. We love that our children are receiving a faith based education.

This is our first year with St. Bernard's with our son in Preschool. I am extremely happy with the things they are teaching and even surprised we get homework weekly from preschool. Easy stuff, but excellent practice for him and let's me see what he's learning and how well he's doing. He is also in the after school program and I couldn't be happier with our decision to place him here. We will continue with Pre-K, and if funds allow...he will continue on to k-8 at St. Bernard's. The values the help instill are worth it.

I know from personal experience how professional and dedicated the teachers are. Not everyone may see it that way and that's ok. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But everyone also deserves respect. Come and visit the school and you won't be disappointed.
