    The Principal is amazing here! She seems to be present at the school all the time and really care about her kids. The teachers I have seen are so amazing and really enjoy their jobs! I have seen the PTO do amazing things too. They pay for the majority of the kids field trips- they schedule extra programs and fun activities for the kids too. They all work well together. Its a great environment. I wish more parents got more involved in the PTO so they could see how well this school works together.

    East School is a great school located in a nice area of Torrington. Great staff!

    Great school...great staff...Field trips and activities are just fine. Besides, the education quality is far more important than the extras. And the lack of isn't due to PTO, it's due to most parents requesting they not happen due to cost.Most parents would rather have new books than yet another trip to Mystic or the apple farm.

    The current Principal of East school is wonderful. My son went to Torringford's new bulding first and I have to say East school is much better even though the building is old - the teachers are wonderful. I am very pleased with the falculty. The only issues I have is lack of field trips and activities. Due to past PTO issues.
