I absolutely love my children's school. When we moved to Topeka I purposely chose my house in this schools boundaries because of all the wonderful things I heard about the school. I have never regretted that decision! Mrs. Hunley, our principal is amazing. She is dedicated to our children 150 %! The teachers are wonderful and the staff is the best! It's not just a school, it's a family.

She's is a great school with deep community involvement, the teachers are attentive to the child's needs and pays close attention to individual needs.

I attended SHES from first grade all the way to sixth and I loved every second of it. The teachers are amazing and very dedicated. The school also has an excellent gifted education class for acedemically advanced students. Teachers of special classes Francis Baxter (music) and Micky Simpson (physical education) also etablish a strong bond with students. Anyone lucky enough to attend this school will agree with me.

SHES's new principal is wonderful. She is kind, caring, and dedicated to the students, teachers and staff, and to the parents of her school. The teachers and staff are amazing and are differentiating their teaching to the needs of their students.
