Great group of teachers that work hard to make sure all students are learning to the best of their ability. Administration is in tune with the teachers and the students and are very supportive of their staff.

All three of my children graduated from Taylor High School in the last 13 years. All of them graduated from highly accredited universities (University of Texas and Texas A&M University in College Station) within 5 years. They participated in Band, Academic UIL, AcDec, National Honor Society and more. Without the confidence and work ethic gained through excellent teachers and rigorous courses, they could not have been as successful. Go Ducks!

Taylor High School is an excellent choice for families. There are many pathways for students to choose from. They have electives including health sciences, culinary, automotive (general and diesel), and welding from which students may earn a certification that could lead to gainful employment right out of high school. There are a number of other electives and programs that students can join, such as band, color guard, High Steppers, dance, choir, art (drawing and ceramics), photography, audio/visual technology, Spanish Club and much more. There are opportunities for students to be involved in FFA, showing animals, and horticulture. Not only are there the required courses for students, there are Advanced Placement and Honors opportunities. Athletics are an important part of the culture of THS, but is not the only driving force for decision making. From my experience, there is a diverse population at Taylor High School and everyone supports one another.

The teachers at THS are dedicated to helping students learn. One to one computer use provides students with a vast array of additional educational opportunities to support classroom instruction. Our CTE (Career, Technology Education) class offerings give students the opportunity to get a feel for various career options plus extra-curricular activities such as athletes, band, choir and other UIL competitions give our students a sense of team work which develops spirit and decorum.

This campus is fairly new; especially its new, spacious stadium, where several smaller districts play their playoff games. No game would be what it is without a band and a drill team. THS has Nationally-recognized Band and Color Guard programs. Besides these, Taylor High School has multiple programs that allow our local youth to obtain both college credit and job training, while attending high school! What else could you ask? Well, THS offers many sports, courses and diverse teachers.I highly recommend this school! It has left a mark and continues to put Taylor on the larger map.

Taylor High School offers various activities for students to be involved. Students are encouraged to become leaders and the elective courses provide real world experiences that teach lessons not measured in a test. Teachers and principals are committed to what is best for kids and are engaged in all aspects of kids lives.

I have been the librarian at Taylor High School for four years and in that capacity, have had the opportunity to work with most of the students and staff. It is my observable belief that the staff of this school works long and hard to insure the best possible instruction for the students. Our teachers rise to meet the challenges of teaching in general but the entire COVID experience has brought out the best in them. I've seen examples of our teachers working hard to insure lesson plans both in person and virtual that encompass the various learning styles exhibited by our students. Trying to meet the needs of a diverse student population is not an easy thing but I believe our teachers are excelling. The staff is warm and friendly and totally approachable because most of us understand that teaching involves more than just the content knowledge the class requires. Teaching is all about building relationships with our students and trying to get to know them as well as possible to we can provide the best education possible. Our leadership is outstanding. Our principal works hard to bring out the best in us so we can bring out the best in our students. Respect, appreciation, and a sense of community are all qualities I have found here at Taylor High School.

It's a smaller school (4A, but still smaller than those in the greater Austin-area), so there is more of a friendly small-town atmosphere. Much nicer than inner-city schools in terms of attention to students and fewer discipline problems that are sometimes associated with larger schools.

Thus far this has been a welcoming school district, with administrators who are eager to work successfully with parents and community to create an inviting learning environment. I appreciate their efforts to make our transition to Taylor a little bit easier.
