We only lasted one month at this school. If your child has any sort of special needs please STEER CLEAR. Your child will be punished for things that they cannot help and that are in their 504 plan. For instance if they need redirection when losing focus, it will earn your child a trip to the DEANS OFFICE and make them scared to death to go to school. My child was a straight A student, he was given the one principals award at his previous school, and numerous other awards. He never in his life had been in trouble. Both of my children in different grade levels said they were not allowed to speak all day in their classrooms. At all. How is that possible for ANYONE!? Let alone children. Talking also lands you in the deans office. It is sickening and inhumane to treat children this way. We pulled them out after a month of panic attacks and tears. They have been much happier in public school.

This school is ran by children. Our academic experience here from prek-kindergarden was very traumatic. The school did not accommodate my daughter’s medical disability which we have a 504 in place with the county, and doctor and hospital notes. Furthermore, the schools lack of security and communication when threats occur is worrisome and I highly advise you to seek education elsewhere if you want to make sure your getting the best education and safety for your children.

My family was a part of this school for 11 years. Throughout that time, I would hear of problems and shrug them off as not knowing the whole story. Please, DO NOT SHRUG THIS REVIEW OFF. The administration of this school is, at the least, unprofessional. They allow personal grudges and opinions to dictate how a student/family is treated. They are unable to deal with any confrontations effectively. Any disagreement with administrators will leave you and your children bewildered and expelled. The bullying is rampant. Mainly because it starts at the very top. You cannot effectively teach children that bullying is not ok if you have not learned that as an adult. What bothers me most about this school is the lack of accountability for the administration. No one holds them in check, and they know it. I brought serious accusations and problems to the pastor and was told he was "unaware of my situation". GIving him the benefit of the doubt, I hoped he would look into it and appropriate action would be taken. It was not. When you have leaders of a private school who have zero accountability to anyone, nothing but a mess will follow. The hurt, pain, manipulation and unchristlike behavior that flows from the top of this school is appalling. You can turn a blind eye only until it happens to you or your children. For the administrators reading this review. Matthew 12:36–37. 2 Corinthians 5:10. Matthew 7:1–5. Galatians 6:7-8. While checks and balances may not be in place at LCP, they surely do exist in the Kingdom of God. Christ will only allow His name to be marred for so long. Repentance is something that can only be gained through Christ. Restoration is a gift that comes from Him, because without CHRIST, we are nothing. I implore you, stop seeking repentance and restoration from others and go before the throne of the one in whose name you serve and recognize your faults and failures. He is faithful and can redeem and restore all who come to HIM.

Very poor administration at this school. Children’s voices and parents concerns are dismissed and ignored. And those families are then targeted with retaliation from the admins. The learning environment is t healthy or uplifting either. My kids hated going to school. My older kids said they felt like the Dean treated kids (themselves as well) as dumb annoyances and not like images bearers of Christ. They also said some teachers yelled too much and other teachers could never get their classrooms under control. My kids said that favoritism was seen amongst administrators kids as well as open racism and bullying by them being tolerated. Kids don’t feel valued or built up in this school at all according my kids and other kids I’ve talked with. Overall, no complaints, disagreements, questions were handled with integrity and accountability. It felt more like a dictatorship where every family/staff were forced to comply and be quiet, never objecting to anything, or they would be expelled or fired. We are very happy to not be tied to this school anymore and hope that one day that Christ will be in this school under different leadership.

My three children have grown up in this program. Two are now in college now and our youngest will be graduating soon. We’re so so thankful to have found this program so many years ago. We’ve been able to watch it change and grow over the last 10 plus years, and it has quickly become the best Christian private school in this area. Each year it just keeps getting better. The administration is committed to working with families and helping students learn and prepare for their future. We feel like Liberty has become an extension of our family, helping us instill the Christlike attitudes and values we promote in our home.

This school is a sorry excuse for a prep school. The teachers are uninspired which imposes itself upon the student body as well. Some teachers allow for s****l comments to be made at and about them. Others refuse to enforce rules, even if it means creating an unwelcoming classroom. A couple have simply admitted to being too lazy to do their jobs. The student base is also no escape from the ‘evil’ public school students the teachers rave on about. Discrimination is plentiful and is not punished. An assembly promised to punish racist behavior, but an hour at our school would show you just how seriously the student body took that sentiment. I would not call this school safe by any means. Although there are security officers, the school refuses to even acknowledge aggressive behavior and concerning comments made by staff children. There is no comment that could get them punished, and everyone else is expected to watch this hypocrisy and move right along. This is especially frustrating because administration is incredibly heavy-handed when it comes to punishing the ‘bad’ kids (disproportionately black and Hispanic kids—kids who’s actions are nothing in comparison to the staff kids’ offenses). The schoolwork and rigor is also laughable. Crucial classes are missing and replaced with middle school level courses. Math testing scores are extremely behind which is very likely from the unmotivated and unqualified teachers. This is not a school that can truly build struggling students’ scholarship. Your best bet at raising your grade is sending a nicely worded email asking for them to inflate your grade. If you are looking to come to this school for the spiritual aspect: do not. This school is a business and will remind you of it every second. The adults that are supposed to be places of spiritual counsel will keep chats short and superficial because helping students is not a part of the job luckily. Now if you want to talk poorly about other students, then they can make an exception. I know SEVERAL students that have actually dropped religion whilst going to LCP. My favorite thing to do is count down the days until the year is over. This school has crushed my spirits and destroyed my faith in humanity. The only excuse I could think of for coming to this school is the thick skin and selective hearing you’ll gain: it’s not by choice. I believe I speak for the majority. Please save yourself or your child the pain, and do not put them in this school.

I don't know of anyone at this school who is motivated and or happy to be here learning. Fights and discrimination are a constant and can't be reliably controlled. We recently had an anti-Semitic happening, one of our Jewish students wore a sweater to school that said "get lit" and on the sweater was a lit menorah. They said it was secular and inappropriate this happened on December 15 2023 a day in which we were all told it was OK to wear an appropriate christmas themed sweater. otherwise i would say safety is adequate with anywhere from 1 - 3 safety guard on school property at all times. I haven't seen any special education from this school nor have i seen emotional help I am a Teachers Assistant and have seen these things. Overall I can't wait to leave and hopefully forget this school.

I have several of my own students at LCP, ranging from high school age to early elementary. All their teachers are incredible and do an outstanding job. My oldest child is prepared for college and is dual enrolling this year, along with many of his classmates. The program is rigorous and helps them with their walk with Christ.

Poor. When confronted with the Headmaster and Dean of Students, they were completely dismissive of the events that have taken place the entire school year with my son. Very poor Christian attitude toward a child who was being continually attacked all year long BOTH VERBALLY AND PHYSICALLY. They NEVER notified or punished the other students.

The experience was horrible. The school is all about money. They have a terrible accounting system, refuse to provide proper billing invoices. Just bad management.

This school has been such a blessing to our family. The staff is wonderful from the principle to the teachers to the pastor. It is truly a christian environment. The academic standard very high. I am so glad we found this school

So happy to have found Liberty! We have attended for several years now and I have nothing but great things to say. My children love going to school everyday, and their grades continue to soar. All three of them were on Dean's list for all 4 quarters last year! The teachers and staff are amazing, and have a true vested interest in their students. If you're looking for a great school in Lake County, definitely check out LCP!

Our family has been at Liberty Christian going on 12 years. Our oldest has graduated and has been very successful in college and in the work place. We have 3 more that are still attending and we can not imagine sending them anywhere else! Liberty provides a solid education and a safe environment in a Christian setting.

Just started my second year working at LCP. What a great experience! I really love what I do, and the teachers and staff work so well together. The students are great and it is a blessing to get to know them and their families a little more each year. I hope to work here for many years to come :)

They must be doing something right! This school is growing like crazy! Our family has been a part of the LCP family for over 4 years now and this is the biggest enrollment we have seen. They are making many improvements and additions around the school, and it looks better than ever. I'm excited to have my children be a part of this great school. In my opinion, it's the best school in Lake County!

I am thrilled and grateful for the Christian atmosphere, caring teachers, and kind students. Moving my family to this school was the best decision we ever made. My second grader is so far ahead of his friends in the neighborhood that their parents are asking me where he's going. I look forward to many more years of excellence.

I have had my Son in a few schools in our area, before Liberty! My Son loves to learn, and comes home happy, and excited about what he learned that day! Way to Go!

If you want your children to go to a school that had No high school students on the deans list and only 1 on the A/B honor roll last year then you should choose Liberty!!! This is a school where the Principal and the Pastor want your money!!!! They are full of EMPTY promises!!! The Principal is more concerned with following the dress code rules then anything!! The Pastor is more concerned with making it HIS own and stripping it of everything that made it the Great school it was!!!! Don't make the mistake I did!!! This school does Nothing to prepare your children for college!!!!

I AM A STUDENT HERE AT LIBERTY CHRISTIAN....! I actually like this school. I came from Tavares & this will be my 3rd year attending LCA... It could be improved in a lot of ways but its a good school regardless. Everybody in the high school gets along & we all trust each other... The "jocks" are friends with the "nerds" & vice versa.. I really enjoy this school but we ALL hate the new BJU curriculum, we'd rather go back to Abeka, & have NO iPads. Also, the teachers truly do care about us & help us in every way possible. All though, a couple of us students agree that we need a new pastor & principal, it's all good.... The teachers are amazing! I would DEFINETLY reccommend this school to those who think of placing there children here... DO IT(: BTW-We need more HighSchool kids hahaha

This school is one of the worst mistakes I ever made!!!! They actually charged families thousands of dollars 8 months into the school year saying it was owed from the previous year!! The Principal cannot tell the truth to save her life!!! They kept the high school math teacher for most of the year knowing that he could not teach math!!! Our children were having to tell him how to do the math!! They only want money they have No christian morals at all!!!!!!
