John Paulding is a wonderful, warm environment for Kindergarteners. We've felt positively about the school all year, and now even moreso in terms of how they are educating children amidst the very challenging situation of distance learning. As a parent, I now can see the teaching firsthand via the video lessons, and am thoroughly impressed with the quality and creativity of the teaching. The material is challenging, and I know some is comparable to what private schools are teaching a grade or two ahead. I encourage anyone who is struggling to send kids to the TUFSD because of the lower 'scores' it receives to really do research. Talk to parents in the district. Look at the data offered in GreatSchools and see how it breaks out in different ways before comparing the overall 'score' to other top performing Westchester schools. We are so happy we chose this district and even more so now that we see how wonderful the teachers are every day!

Wonderful public school. Definitely has a small, private school feel. All of the teachers are caring, and children of all academic abilities seem to thrive. The diversity is a boon - children are taught about the world they live in thanks to the environment that they're in. This school (and school district overall) is a hidden gem. We are so happy we moved here.

Wonderful school for my daughter. Excellent resources, dedicated instructors, varied curriculum (including arts, music, sign language), and a cute "small school" environment. Private school education for a public school price!

John Paulding is a very good school, with a lot of diversity. the Principal is very good also the superintendent. However the tarrytown bus transportation is a nightmare....we moved out from that town because of that.

We are very happy with the small class size and the attention our son is receiving.
