I feel that this school pushes gender identity to a unhealthy point and I find it not right for very young children

Both of our boys are in Pride. It’s like a second home for them. We have medical needs to be taken care for one of the boys while at school and believe me we feel him safe and are stress free that he is taken care of it. We are informed about everything. Principal, Vice Principal, teachers and all rest of the staff are amazing. Everyone is committed and dedicated towards their job. They do it it with so much passion. Kids not just learn but have fun while doing it. They not only help kids to learn but lay great foundation to shape the kids to grow into a responsible, good future citizens of the country. I wish they had from K to 12 :)

Stay away from this school if your child has special needs. ESE program and staff is extremely sub-par. Education and overall school quality is below average. Car line is the worst I have ever seen. Go to another school if at all possible.

(not sure if my prior review got posted) During the pandemic, the leadership of Pride has been outstanding. They care about student safety and they implement protocols to protect students. They are serious about contact tracing. The Principal, Mrs. English, is extraordinary. She is warm, caring, and tries to get to know each family. The teachers are phenomenal. Yes the teachers are aware of the Florida standards, but they have the professionalism, creativity, and experience to teach above the standards. They can push the students due to the demographics. When we first came to Pride it was a bit rough because our previous school did not prepare my kids for the level at which kids at Pride are expected to perform, especially in writing. Luckily my kids caught up, and I am glad they are getting the best education available in the area. Homework is totally reasonable, not too much. Pride has a reputation for being an excellent school. The curriculum is innovative and engaging. The administration, staff, and teachers are fantastic. If you are a parent then you should plan to be involved in the PTA because they really need more parent involvement. I'm not sure if there are extra-curriculars at Pride but my student was supported when he wanted to start a club one year. I'm having a hard time putting a label on the culture at Pride- maybe "caring and conscientious?" Front office staff and guidance counselors are super helpful. The car line is not bad, don't listen to all the reviews; the car line is totally fine.

My kids are both in Kindergarten and 2nd grade entering Pride. We chose this school because it had good ratings and it is an A+ school. The teachers have given me all the right tools to help them improve. My daughter that is in Kindergarten has learned how to read much faster than my son did when he was in another school. There's a lot more homework given in this school than their first school. Overall, the teachers are very nice and supportive.

This school has great administration, staff and faculty. Great environment. I think a lot of this has to do with the principal. She’s top notch and has the energy to keep this school operating at a great pace. Her pride is infecting. She is a visible face of Pride and is always available to discuss student issues. There is very good communication between the teachers and parents. The teachers go above and beyond to help children do their best each day. I am very pleased with the effort the teachers make to help children do their best each day. Teachers and administration are dedicated to providing the best education for the children - this includes academic achievement as well social and moral responsibility.

My son has been going to Pride for the last three years and I am very impressed by the school. Some of these reviews that complain about the administration are a surprise to me. I have had nothing but positive interaction with the school administration and all of my son's teachers have been fantastic. I have spoken with the principle, Mrs. Land a few times and I have always been impressed by her and her school. I don't think a school could function as well as Pride does without great leadership.

I am a parent at Pride and as the name indicates...I am proud to have my son attend this school. I have only had wonderful and pleasant experiences with both the teachers, office staff, and administration. LOVE this school!!!!!

The school is good for academics, but horrible when it comes to any social interaction. I wish we could rate the teachers separately from the school since most of the teachers are great. The issue is with the administration. A friend has been harassed by the Principal, and when an "anonymous" complaint was filed with the Superintendents office, my friend was then harassed by the Area Superintendent, who directly referred to the "anonymous" complaint my friend filed. Apparently, those who disagree with the administration are bullied. I hope this will be addressed so we can get back to concentrating on the education of our children.

The definition of "not my job." The teacher, never looks at the hw (except on the last day of the month) and has memorized all the "cookie cutter" answers which she will repeat again and again. They have lost our child twice already and our friend's once (and they are easy kids). The AP thinks she runs Harvard prep but she is a regular "bully" with the same mentality as the teachers (the ones we've experienced.) Is this a 10? Why? When?We are moving because of them.

My daughter's last day was yesterday, had attended since 2009! Sad to leave Pride for sure, wish school was K-8. Only thing.....the line before school which all should be prepared to be IN THE CAR at 725 to arrive BY 7:30. Line is lenghy, but leave early like we did and you'll be fine. Administration from Mrs. Land to the teachers are wonderful! Never had any issues disciplinary or academic wise in 5 years. Would stay if we could :(

The school is great, but the PTA is other storie. The PTA is a rip off. They collect money for your Childs name to go up for they birthday. My child's birthday came and no name, you try to reach them and nobody is ever there. Then they think it's ok to put up your child's name a week later. No communication, they're too busy to call you back.

first off there amazing with bulling! my daughters incident was handled the next day! the teachers really try to help in any way when it comes to the students, but i will say nothing is ever in detail for the parents the information we get is from the kids usually, and my daughters not to good with explaining things! lol THE CAR LINE IN THE MORNING IS HORRIBLE! we live less then a mile away and if i leave 30 mins before school starts shes still late!!! one way in and one way out of the school! the worst ever!

The reason Pride is rated so highly is because the teachers load the children down with a ridiculous amount of homework each night and it's completely on the parent (not the teacher) to ensure the children accomplish everything correctly, or else we're all threatened with the phone calls, emails, etc., on being "marked down". My 8 and 10 year olds each have approximately 2 1/2 hrs every night, and it's staggering for all of us. Other than that, the front office staff--notably the secretary and nurse--are probably the worst I've ever seen. Rude and completely clueless. So far, I'm not completely hyped about this school.

Good school if you are satisfied with your child being average. Teachers and Principal for whatever reason are not motivated to push the children to realize their potential. AGP is a farce. AGP teachers are not motivated to prepare the children for competetions etc.. nor to push the children. Extreme undisciplined environment in the classrooms. Hard to believe that the teachers can allow such an environment in their classrooms. Some parents I spoke to acknowledge that their childs behavior in terms of discipline, talking to elders, attitude had degraded drastically last year. The school's success is 85% family driven, its not that the teachers or the environment are any better.

The principal and vice principal act like politicians when dealing with parents. its quite a turn-off. Teachers don't realize how good they have it and many seem a little too complacent. Newwer teachers seem to bring in a lot motivation and a caring attitude for their profession. Unfortuantely, the system chews up these go-getters and eventually breaks their morale. The PTA is extremely strong and well funded, however it was complately parent driven. There is very little teacher involvement in the PTA, however the teachers benefit greatly from fund raising efforts. Every teacher get a few hundreds dollars from the PTA in addition to special ad-hoc requests. Its unfortuante the PTA has to provde basic things this school needs, but that is more of an indictment of the District as a whole. The AGP gifted program has great math and science teachers across all grades. This school's strong FCAT scores are a direct result of the family upbringing of the students. The school is heavily Asian/Indian as well as upper-middle class families that prioritize education. The school's success is 85% family driven, its not that the teachers are any better than other schools. good school

My son enrolled non English speaking. Just in 7 months he is speaking and has a great academic progress thanks to his teacher. I am very sad that this teacher is leaving. It is a big loss to the children and school in general. It makes you think twice about the not so positive decisions of the principal. It is a shame to let good and experienced teachers go.

I think this school is perfect for my children. so far my kids had really nice and hard working teachers. I see lots of improvements in my kids every year. Yes, i see there are couple people at the front desk who are rude and i hope they get their acts together and start being little polite to parents. overall i am very satisfied with this school.

The staff and teacher are not friendly and certainly not willing to help. The information is not conveyed to the parents in a timely manner and is not clear. It is no better than other public schools.
