My experience at the school as a parent of a special needs child is terrible, my child was in a regular classroom with a total of 23 kids, 1 teacher and an aid that is share with other classroom, the teacher was a very good teacher but overall the leaders and the District don't have a clue of how to deal with all types of special need but they make you think they do. I also feel they play favorable to children who are not minorities.

Unfortunately, despite being an alumnus of this school district myself, I pulled my children from this school due to it failing to create a welcoming safe space. We had teachers that were (and are today) cruel, dismissive, and unsupportive. While there were some that were better, all it takes is a handful of horrible teachers to ruin a child’s school career.

Because I have seen the end results of the awesome education offered at Swiftwater. My niece and some of her friends attend the school and they are responsible educated young men and woman on the road to success. They are already looking at colleges as they are very focused with lots of direction on what they want to do in life and I know Swiftwater and the teachers have a lot to do with it. At SEC the teachers notice a student's possible shortcomings ahead of time and work hard to help children before minor flaws escalate into real problems.

Teachers and parents actually DO work together as a close concerned team to help students be the best that they can be.
