Amazing! My son attended the Growing Concern from Pre-K to Grade 3. He is now in grade 6 and still doing well. He attributes is character - to be proactive and show initiative to growth - to the School and the awesome teachers! School wasn't always easy. He had to work through challenges. It is the best education that instills a passion and love of learning, even through challenges.

My daughter attending The Growing Concern from grades 1-5. I was so sad when she had to move on to another school because no other school in the area can compare. This school provided a solid foundation for her and she has transitioned well to her new school. My daughter is a bright, well-rounded young lady and I believe her time at this school helped her become the lovely 13 year old she is today.

This is my daughters sixth year in the Growing Concern. I can't even find words to express my gratitude for the school and staff. I knew after taking a tour of the school that my child would be blessed if she was able to spend her early school years attending this school. The grounds are lovely, the school house is safe and the staff is fabulous. After six years of seeing how the staff cares for all the children I would gladly have my daughter attend another six years, time and time again. I believe the curriculum is far beyond other schools. While the children learn to work hard their play time is just as valuable at this school. The children that attend the Growing Concern will receive beyond just an eduction surrounding a curriculum. They will develop emotionally, physically and mentally over their years spent at the Growing Concern thanks to the dedicated staff. I'm honored to have been able to have my daughter in this school during her early development.

We are thrilled with the education our child is receiving at the Growing Concern. Our child looks forward to going to school every day, which has helped foster a love of learning within the child. We are especially pleased with the way the school encourages the children to work hard, but they also encourage the children to play as well. We love that the kids get to be outside playing with their peers twice a day, year-round. Outdoor imaginative play is crucial for the development of elementary aged children, and we are so thankful to have found a school that values this as well.

It was a wonderful experience! The children that come out of this school are thinkers who love to learn. They are kind and compassionate. They have their own voices. They have had the freedom to express their thoughts and feelings within a safe and supportive environment. They have had the time to play outside and create and grow. Education in an environment like this is special. It is necessary and too rare. I would do it all over again in a minute. I recommend this school highly and have never regretted sending my own chid or now, referring parents to this school.

I had the honor of sending my three sons to this school for what amounted to 16 school years. It was a wonderful time in our lives that we will always treasure. This school and the teachers and staff are like family. They love and care for the children, and have such a passion for what they do. You know when you send your children to this school, they are in good hands. The environment is nurturing. The children never feel rushed. They are free to work at their own level in a relaxed atmosphere. They get to enjoy activities that they would never get to enjoy in the public school system. They go outside for sledding all winter long. They take the children on fascinating field trips such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Natural History Museum, and the Metropolitan Opera for a backstage tour. They experience the world through attending this school. I am so happy that my sons were able to start their education at such a special, magical place. My family and I will always have dear memories of this school, and I will be forever grateful to the teachers and staff for giving my children this wonderful experience.

Our son has been going to The Growing Concern since he was 3 and is now in the 1st grade. He actually asks to go to school on the weekends and by mid summer he is counting down the days till he returns. This weekend while we were home, he was drawing my husband and I the flags of Russia and China. I know every school is different, but I can definitely tell you I wasn't learning flags of other countries at that age, in fact I do not recall ever learning what other countries flags looked like. He also creates his own work at home such as what he calls his money work. He found a tray and on each corner of the tray he laid out coins. He then cut out small pieces of paper and wrote numbers on them. Once that was complete, he had to find the coins that equaled the number of what he wrote on the paper and he then placed the coins under each paper representing the amount that was listed on that piece of paper. He not only had a blast doing this, but he also felt so proud of himself as was my husband and I. This is just one of many examples of how this school creates the love of learning for these children. The education he gets here has exceeded our expectations and we couldn't imagine our son going anywhere else. The teachers and staff are so caring and nurturing and any problems that might arise are handled quickly and with ease. The parents as well as the students are such a joy to be around and we will miss this school very much once his time is up here.

My daughter is a current student at The Growing Concern. I love the Montessori method of teaching and feel she is really benefitting from learning using Montessori methods. All the teachers and staff at the school are amazing. It is a friendly, caring environment, more like a family than a school, where my daughter feels welcomed each and every day. She loves her teachers and classmates and is happy to go to school every morning. We love The Growing Concern.

I was a student at the Growing Concern for five years from kindergarten to fourth grade and my experience at the school has shaped me to be the person I am today. The staff is wonderful and they all have a true passion for helping children grow. Being outside on the playground and in the beautiful forest was well worth any cuts, bruises, or small injuries. Kids need to be kids and get hurt, otherwise how will they handle true pain in their future? When I left the school I was more advanced in spelling, math, and science than many of the students in my public school. I am fourteen now and I still keep in contact with many of my friends from growing concern and have ended ninth grade in the top ten of my class. If your child struggles in school, Growing Concern will give them a personal learning experience no public school could offer. If your child is fine in school, Growing Concern will bring them above and beyond. Thank you, A Loving Student
