I think this school is fantastic and that the greatschools.com rating is misleading. Sports and coaches here are top notch. If you’re looking for really good academics along with excellent sports, this is your school. They consistently send students to top tier college programs for DIV I in a range of sports and are consistently competing for the Tournament of Champions in boys and girls sports.

I have had my children in two public school systems and three private schools. Some of the best teachers I have encountered are at Summit High School. I wish I could get my tuition back from the private schools and send my kids to Summit.

It shows that our school taxes are spent wisely. My daughter would not be who she is today if it wasn't for her positive experience at Summit High.

A very good high school that prepares you for college. Teachers are helpful and challenge students to do their best work. Teachers are generally accessible before and after class. The school also provides a wide array of courses for various student interests, as well as multiple AP classes in various subjects that certain students may be stronger in.

Just a terrible school all around, teachers are rude and unhappy to help students. The disciplinary system at the school is so bad its like they don't even have one. The only reason the test scores of the school are average are because parents spend a ton of money for their kids to be tutored for hours on end. Would not recommend in any way. The electives are decent but the teachers are also very rude and uncaring.

Summit High School is considered one of the best schools in the state, but that is attributed to high tests scores attained through overbearing parents and hours spent with tutors. SHS' teachers are lazy, inattentive and dislike everyone who actually lives in Summit. The only reason why SHS has decent college admissions is because of alumni connections and legacies. Their special education program is terrible. Considering how much my parents pay in taxes, and considering that most of Summit sends their students to private schools, I am ashamed of how much my teachers didn't care.

Attentive faculty; consistently ranked among the best high schools in the state; competitive atheletics; affluent community. Families move to Summit because of the excellent public schools.
