We are having a very positive experience at this school. Would recommend this school. I love how communicative the teachers are. They provide key updates on how your child does and establish a 1:1 connection with the parent.

First and foremost, my honest assessment submitted a couple years ago seems to have disappeared. Guess when my oldest "advanced" to middle school they thought it was okay to purge. However, I still have two other children in the school and thus I will share (and update) my experience as a parent.Salt Brook failed my first child terribly and the scars last to this day. On the surface, she worked hard from Day 1 in first grade to getting Straight A's several times as a 5th and 6th grade student. However, she languished in this school. Outside of a small handful of truly exceptional teachers who took the time to invest in our daughter, the instituion lacks vision and heart. They are entrusted with a sacred obligation of educating our youth when they are extremely fragile and eager learners. Rather than instill the discipline, work ethic and techniques to be successfully academically, these teachers are comfortable teaching the basic requirements of the (comical) Common Core Standards in as neutral a manner as possible. The children (most of whom are held back a year by overly competitive parents) are destined to succeed or fail based more on how involved their parents are rather than from a nurturing and demanding academic school. Said differently and more succinctly, the key to success at Salt Brook is to teach your children at home first and then let the teachers provide the additonal problems and test administration. With my other two children, I have taught them more at the dining room table then they have ever learned in a Salt Brook classroom. I cannot emphasize this enough. Bless the hearts of those few teachers who have gone above and beyond. The kids remember your caring and involvement to this day. If only the school adopted your excellence pervasively rather than deliver a nondescript curriculum that is not differentiated, challenging or caring.

Excellent administration and teachers. My son really looks forward to going to school and has a love of learning and his teachers.

We have our children in Salt Brook since 1st grade and very happy with the school, teachers and stafff.

is you are one to fit in it's fine. But you are a working parent, different abilities, not super rich or have a special needs student run far away
