TES has been a fantastic home for the last 5 years. My daughter's 1st and 4th grade teachers in particular have made an impression on her that will carry with her for many years. I've had many positive interactions with teachers and administration over the years as well as the very active Parent Teacher Group. My daughter was never just another student, she was always made to feel she mattered as this is how the teachers and staff at TES operate - EVERY kid matters.

As of 2016, the new principle is not involve at all. I hardly see her at school. The students are allowed to run in the hallway. Special Education kids are not being support like they used to. This school is so lack of structure now. I have been volunteering at TES for 10 years. This principle changed the whole school dynamic. I feel so bad for all the teachers.

New school building in 2000. Start of the art with computers in every classroom. We had 2 kids at TES. Both special needs. One is gifted but "payed attention only about 10% of the time" and the other payed attention but never did any work. The school placed teams with my kids who met them where they were academically and encouraged them by focusing on weak areas and rewarding competent areas and honest efforts. Through this process I got to know the staff and administrators very well and always felt like whatever the situation was with my kids (and there were some big ones) the school had the situation well in hand. The principal is a strong leader and you can see the love the teachers have for the kids. They are a very traditional school with strict dress code (no uniforms), behavior, and expectations. They have a school wide meeting every morning with teachers and students that parents are welcome to attend. In this meeting they say the pledge of allegiance, and sing an encouraging song of the day that reinforces the school H.E.A.R.T skills of Honor, Empathy, Accountability, Respect, Teamwork. They have a VERY active PTA and the school is very community focused.
