My 1st daughter got sexually assaulted at this school by another student and nothing was gone about it at all. The child was kept in the school. No CPS report was filed…My daughter got isolated from her friends during recess. The child who touched my daughter got to keep going to recess and regular classes. They claimed to be waiting on “Title 9” to investigate. After months we were basically told that nothing could be done. The principal seems to care more about looking cool than taking care of children because she would never be present at these meetings that involved my child’s safety. We were not told about it until the end of the day even though it happened middle of the day. We were told that we didn’t need to come to the school to investigate. Worst public school in Houston.Y’all are extremely lucky NO attorney wants to go against y’all for this…

There is nothing about this school that I would ever promote or encourage for another family. Given the opportunity I would pull my son out today. The teachers seem to be annoyed by the children and you can tell that it is not there passion to be there with them. The principal is responsive but she isn’t teaching my son. His interactions with every other teacher show how much they are there to collect a check and do not care to inspire or engage their students.

Horrible. Needs new staff, from top to bottom.

We recently moved to Spring and were directed to Gloria Marshall for our neighborhood. My son was coming into the school year a steady C and D student. Since being at Marshall, my son has become a steady B and C with a few A's student. His grades and interest in school have increased dramatically. He is excited about all the hands on learning he gets to do and I am excited about the open lines of communication the teachers have with the parents. We will be looking to move next year into a ownership property instead of a rental and we have no desire to change outside of the schools jurisdiction. We could not be happier with the experience we are having at Marshall.

We love Marshall! The teachers and staff are so passionate about the students. The atmosphere is very positive and compassionate. The facility also happens to be very modern and state of the art. My oldest has already moved up out of Marshall and I have to say, he was very well prepared for the middle school transition. My youngest still goes here and we love it!

My child attends kindergarten at Gloria Marshall Elementary School, and he has had a wonderful year! He has learned a great deal and is reading beyond his expected level. Before he started school, we were determined to be out of SISD, due to the negative things we'd heard. We ended up not moving as planned and I'll admit, the thought of my son having to go to school here was very unsettling. Well, Gloria Marshall Elementary has completely erased that uneasy feeling. His teacher, Mrs. Zwerneman, has been absolutely WONDERFUL! She has kept in contact with us and updated on behavior and progress, both good and bad, throughout the year. She gives praise where praise is due and also pays a great deal of attention to areas that can be improved. My son has had nothing but good things to say about any of the faculty he's interacted with. The school has a safe, secure feeling to it, but the openness of the floorplan doesn't have that institutional/prison feeling you get with some schools. This will most likely be the first and last year he'll have a Marshall as we are set to move this summer, but it's been a great experience!

Teachers are friendly, patient and understanding. They treat kids with respect. I'm confident in my grandchilds education there. The school is new, clean and child friendly with a large slide inside the school.

So far, so good! I love the fact that my daughter's new school is a "green" school. It is a newer school, well maintained and seems to be very safe and secure. I have only attended the orientation so far, as school starts tomorrow, but I am already impressed with my daughter's teacher. All other staff that I came in contact with were very friendly and knowledgeable. I will continue to post reviews (good or bad) throughout the year.

I love this school. My daughter has been to a few schools and she really excels here. The first day I walked her to closs her teacher was in knee high boots, and still on the floor with the students. I love the care they place with the students.

Totally agree withe other review....the level of teachers is average not Satisfactory, having some EXCEPTIONS, attention to students is poor, THE PRINIAL IS MORE INTERESTED in showing how good and beautiful and ecologically it is the building, that attention to educational level can be achieved and to give to the students. very disappointed
