The office staff as well as the principal and vice principal are very kind And more than willing to assist you whenever necessary. My child is happy here.

The staff is very rude I called to the front office as my son's teacher instructed me to do for an event he was attending and the front office told me it wasn't their responsibility to arrange my son to go to their after school program. IN THE SAME FACILITY. The staff was too lazy to walk across the hall to their own teachers the ones who stay after school to tell them my son would be attending one of their own events. Wow then I call the principal leave a message she never returns my call. I have to email her to get a reply full of excuses 4 days later with a bs apology with no solution to my problem. Every time I go there to drop my son off the staff isn't friendly at all they all seem to be miserable with the choice they to be in their field. It's depressing every time I go to that school. It's sad that I don't even want to be involved with my son's school events because of how rude the staff is. Please if you have a choice don't pick this one . It's full of lazy incompetent people. No real remodels at this school. Very sad.

I am a mother to one child who attends Jenkins. She is in pre-k her teacher Mrs. Brown is wonderful and very informative. As far as the staff in front, oh lord sometimes you do need to have patience.!!! Being a first time mom to only one child no I am not informed in certain things. When it comes to class parties one is asked to bring things if they choose, now when its your child's birthday those same items for instance napkins are not allowed! Like okay should we not treat our child special on his/her day. I know school is not to party. Then the whole grade level before 1st grade does not get acknowledged!!! They do not participate in any ceremonies and or activities! Well that sucks! Not only that when certain activities are going on in school the parents are not advised what's so ever!!!

Jenkins Elementary, this is the first wk. of school, so there will be many traffic problems. Some due to new parents not knowing the procedure and old parents not following procedure, The staff/Admin. has always been good w/my granddaughters and taking care of any problems. Mrs. Starr is cool and good w/the kids, I can talk to her about anything and Mr. Jordan, well he is a star. Thank you, Jan Cryer-Alf, grandmother

If you are moving in the area I recommend you to rethink about it! At least if your student is going to have to go to Jenkins elementry. This school sucks!! From rude staff to unorganized from picking up your kids after school. This school does not have it together! Northgate crossing was such a more organized & great staff:))

My son attended Jenkins from pre-k till fourth grade. The principal Mrs. Starr has a bad attitude and loves to hear herself talk. I had my son transferred because the school has failing test scores. In kindergarten there was no ceremony for the children, my son has never been in a play or production and the school seems to turn a cold shoulder to bullying. The teachers my son had were very good but the principal, nurse and rest of the staff are horrible. I had to fight to get my son transferred to Anderson where he couldn't be happier. Run as far and as fast from Jenkins as you can!

I don't know what the lady is talking about the principal/staff is rude. She must be rude! I go to Jenkins anytime and feel welcomed. If I have a problem they are receptive to it and handle the situation. I know as a parent you have to be diligent in finding out what's going on at school & put effort to stay on top of school activities. Use the internet.

This school is awesome as far as teachers go,i would have to say they are the best thing that happened to this school. The principal is rude!!!! The staff is rude!!!!!! They wont let you participate in any in school activities or even let you know what is going on in the school! you are allowed in the school two times a year and those times are meet the teacher and open house and you are allowed to eat lunch with your child that is it!!! The principal does not care for anyone or there feelings every time i enter this school i am treated like a piece of trash and never told thank you or have a good day! I am a very sweet mother of three that takes everyone's feeling in to consideration every time i leave this school i am crying cause the way i was treated by the staff and makes me wonder if they treat our children with the same respect they give the parents. Makes me wonder if i should move to another location with schools that treat you better!! I would rather spend all my money and up root my family for a school who makes a mother who wants to be involved with her child's education feel welcomed and important.

My daughter has had some amazing teachers at this school! Overall they are a dedicated bunch who focus on training up successful kids.
