The entire staff at this school has a bad attitude and so unprofessional. If you have a concern about something they get defensive and give you an attitude instead of being helpful. Drop off and pickup are a nightmare, they are so unorganized and they make up all these new rules and policies almost every other day it seems and scream at you if you didn’t get the memo. Example: they sent home an anttendance and tardy policy paper home for parents to sign. It specifically said early dismissal ends at 2:30pm. Well 2 days later I went up to the school to take my son out early, it was 2:05pm and the lady at the front desk said early dismissal cut off is 2pm now. They never sent a notice, and I told her I just signed a paper the school sent about this 2 days ago and it said 2:30pm. She didn’t apologize or anything for the change and miscommunication on their part. She just gave me an attitude and rolled her eyes and called the principal. Their attitude is so bad it seems like they hate being there and that’s a big concern when we’re sending our children to be under their care.

We moved to Burchett last year and we absolutely love it here! I was really nervous about moving my kids to a different school in the district, but the principal, teachers, and staff were so friendly and made us feel so welcomed. The whole staff treats us so well, is on top of what's going on, and creating a solutions before they become problems. I'm proud to be a part of this school and to have such fantastic teachers for my kids!

Very helpful! The teachers make sure they give the kids there time and tools to succeed. They go that extra miles for the students. They also keep a great line of Communication open with parents.

This school is HORRIBLE- my daughter is in their "GT" program, which is a joke- they never do anything meaningful- projects always pushed back a week, they don't even care if homework is turned in or not. My daughter's first year at Burchett was for 2nd grade, before Burchett she LOVED going to school, then after attending here- she now hates to go to school, and is too young to have that sentiment- especially a very well behaved, GT program child. She hates they way they punish the whole classes as a group, instead of singling out the ones doing the behavior- so my daughter barely ever gets recess. She finds the school work top be boring and simple and is never challenged by her teachers. This school is the worst!!! LUCKILY- this year we got a letter saying they failed to meet the "No Child Left Behind" standards for more than two years, so legally (federally) they have to give us an option to pick another school in our district that met the guidelines. We requested to be transferred to Marshall. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL if you can, especially if you want your child to start off with a love of learning, teachers that care, and a quality education.

This school is very unorganized. Its administration is not involved in behavior problems. Mrs. Harding does not get involved with anything going on in the classroom until a parent starts complaining. So if you want to be heard start emailing Mrs. Harding. That is the only way you will get anything done. She does not listen to her staff and when approached with a concern about students from teacher she is not responsive and unconcerned about anything going on except test scores.

I went to this school for Kindergarden and 1st grade. I have so many memories their, but some of them arent that good. I really loved two of my teachers, Mrs. L and Mrs. Sanders. They were both extremely great teachers! But one of the things I really hated was most of the time you had to play in the parking lot, because other kids were using the playground. And it wasnt safe their. I reamember the school lunches were good..Im just rambling lol but Im really glad I attended this school! It taught me alot and the advanced program was extremely amazing! from, Brittany (:

I feel BURCHETTE school is one of the best I have ever experianced. My son was in private schl before he began schools. I will never in his life allow that experiance again. When he started Burchette for the first time he was tramatized by his other expericance. The teachers worked with him until by the first quarter my son could not wait to go to school. Every teacher except one which is no longer there were a blessing. My son is now completing third grade and still loves school. Thank you for having wonderful caring teachers on staff. Happy mama

My child has attended Burchett for 2 years now. He will attend a new school next year and I couldn't be happier for him. In fact, if it weren't for him having the ability to attend a new school, I would pull him out and put him into a private school. We are in no way pleased with Burchett. The staff seem to be too inexperienced to handle the children. They are way too irresponsible. The only good review I have for Burchett is for his current teacher, Mrs. Sanders. She has been a blessing. As for the rest of the school, we are very displeased.
