I am so impressed with this school. My son just finished 5th grade and we are so sad to be moving on. The reviews posted prior to 2020 reflected a former Principal. Mr. Kenyon who is the current Principal is very engaged with the students and handles all parental concerns immediately.

My daughter was in Special Ed, the transition and progress she made certainly have to give credit to Special Ed teachers here.

We moved from another town with a school system not meeting my child's needs. My son is receiving everything he needs now at Eli Terry. The transition was like night and day. The special education services are on point, the administration is responsive and the teachers are invested. Any concerns are addressed immediately. My son is flourishing academically and socially. I am thoroughly impressed and satisfied with this school.

Major safety issues at this school not being addressed properly in my opinion. Parents not notified when safety is an concern. Parents need to become more informed and stand up to this. Kids safety should Always comes FIRST!!

We just moved from a fantastic school that did so many things with their student so often that maybe we were a bit spoiled. They had spirit day on Friday and everyone wore the school shirts. They had different dress up days for every thing you could think of. Movie days, field trips, parents came in to share their jobs, school parties, book characters came in all dressed up, the principal dressed up in costumes with the staff, they wanted the parents to come in all the time to volunteer for everything, family breakfast, a class dojo so you can see pics of what your child was doing in class daily, the art prodjects were out of this world! The welcome in the mornings the children recieved from the staff was heart warming. Here nothing. The spirit sticks are great and I don't mind paying for them at all but my son is under the impression that he has to be really good to get one. I have tried to narrow down why he feels these are only given due to good behavior . And to participate on the few but there pj days or wacky hair they have to pay which is rediculace. No pay no participation. Everything cost that should be free. We are military and are constantly on the move . We have never paid to participate in any other school in the past 10 yrs. The staff are nice but the next 5 yrs this small school will be overcrowded gaining another school while waiting for the mich needed new school to be built. We havnt had anything bad happen at this school but I don't see anything special about it. They don't do alot with the students other than the usual daily grind. And I am not familiar with the staff at all because of lack of interaction. This is not a bad school but is not a special one .

Both of my kids went through Eli Terry. My daughter is now in college and my son in high school. I remember the day my daughter brought home her report card and it said 'new teacher' when she was entering 4th grade. She was bummed that she didn't get her expected choice. Not knowing who the teacher was made for a long summer. The new teacher ended up being Vinny Federici. There is always one teacher that you will remember forever and be grateful for the hard work and dedication that they have with your kids. There were some bumps that first year but, that's to be expected. By the end of the year the 'new teacher' ended up being the all time favorite teacher. 2 years later when Vinny had my son and looped with him for a second year, he got him back to meets/exceed goal by 5th grade when he decided to disengage in school in 3rd grade. He's now on track for college and we will forever be grateful for his patience and hard work with him. Vinny Federici is now back at Eli as the Principal and we couldn't be happier for him. I know great things are to come with him at the realm. Keep up the great work Vinny and all Eli parents should know that your in the hands of an Administrator that really cares about your child's outcome. I don't think my son would be on his way to college soon without his influence. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Excellent School! Love the dedication and care by the whole school community! My 1st Grader there loves it. Not sure what was up with the negative review in January of 2014, but that principal retired and the new one seems pretty nice. I haven't had issues that haven't been handled professionally and adequately. Great school.

So pleased with our move to this area and with how this school is run. The teachers, principal, and support staff have work seamlessly together and have provided a wonderful, supportive and caring learning environment. Very refreshing to see that the principal and staff really take the time to get to know the students.

The teachers at this school have the potential to do great things, however, the principal and support specialists are not strong instructional leaders. The communication is lacking on what the students are doing curriculum wise in the classrooms. We moved from a school (across town) that provided us with weekly newsletters to be able have follow through with our children at home. The principal lacks social skills...not very warm.
