I read a lot of negative reviews and heard negative reviews about this school before sending my child here. I was surprised by how much I actually liked this school after hearing how awful it was. I will say there are some things that I would change if I could, but there are some things that I really like about this school. Pros- the teachers my child has had so far are all pretty great. They have been kind and friendly and supportive of my child. My child is learning steadily, making friends, and is having overall a positive experience. I like the smaller class size we’ve had and the diversity within the school. Cons- There isn’t a lot of parental involvement, and I don’t know if that’s the school not doing enough to get parents involved or if it’s just our community isn’t a strong one. I wish the building was safer, it’s safety is outdated for today’s standards. I wish there were more extracurriculars that I see surrounding towns have. Granted our budget cant compete with the high taxed towns around us.Overall I like this school, I’m happy with what my child is learning, how it’s being taught, and have had a mostly positive experience so far.

ur years at this school have been terrible. There are a small handful of wonderful teachers but for the most part most of the aids are untrained and unprofessional. The Principal does the absolute bare minimum. The assistant principal seems to care a lot more and is more active, but the resolutions to issues that happen weather it’s teacher to student or student to student, is still pretty terrible. The work load for the kids is far from challenging. It’s busy work to send home in order to check off a box. The bullying that happens in this school is out of control, yet it gets minimized and swept under the rug. Teachers and aids talk so rudely to the kids and if they try to speak up to explain their side of the story, it’s considered “talking back” and they get in trouble. Parent involvement is awful. It’s the same small group of parents who join the PTO and the Governance Council. Same parents who volunteer to coach all the sports and the same parents who are constantly fighting an uphill battle with the lack of action and leadership from the principal. If you are looking to move this town because of the low taxes … STAY AWAY! And from what I hear, the Middle school is where the things go downhill! I can’t even imagine…

My daughter attends this school and for the past two years it's been nothing but problems. I bring her in some mornings and the front staff is lazy and rude no goodmorning or any type of greeting just the usual "fill out her late slip and send her to class" something they are supposed to do. Her teachers have been wonderful that's the only benefit of the school other than that it's a overall sad excuse for a school. Last year there was a animal that attacked students outside during gym... The school didn't inform me right away I learned about it from breaking news on the TV and several hours later the school phoned to inform what happened. I'll be changing schools soon because the higher the grades go the worse it gets.. East Windsor high school is known for dope and overdoses

My son has been going to BBS for the past yearsand has been nothing short of wonderful. The challenging coursework, caring teachers, and high expectations for learning have all helped to lead him to become a confident, inquisitive student. I could not be more pleased with my son's progress. The community's lack of value in education is evident in the yearly failure to approve the budget; this poor choice is not the fault of those who work in the system. Never is it used as an excuse by the faculty/staff; they simply gather their resources and attempt to overcome their budgetary limitations. Parental involvement is excellent; teachers partner with parents with nothing but the kids' best interests in mind. This is a great school with a great future! Keep up the good work.

Most of the teachers are very good, the Principal is very active and great with the kids. We have been happy with the school overall. The town needs to invest more into the schools, computer class was eliminated in 2013 due to budget cuts.

The child I have guardianship over attends this school. I wasn't at all impressed with his initial transition. He was placed in an English as a second language class, I was furious. My child only speaks English and so do I. He was place there simply because he is of Hispanic origin, I demanded to know why he was placed and I was asked if I spoke Spanish to him at home. I asked them if they had read his previous IEP which mentioned his early age hearing loss and surgery, which delayed his speech. Its ashamed that people are still racially motivated when making assumptions of a persons house hold. I am American, born and raised. When I asked weather I appeared to have difficulties articulating in English, the staff seamed embarrassed and apologized. My child was pulled from the ESL, or English as a Second Language, class that day.

My son is going to BBS from past 1yr and we pretty much like it . We were initially worried about the ratings but we are happy now .The teachers are quiet cooperative and responds promptly to any issues. The teachers encouragement to the kids is very nice . The teachers make sure the kids do their best in each and every aspect . Overall its a nice school without any issues. Not just my kids all my friends kids are also going to this school since their Pre -K and everyone like it a lot .

My son started going to this school since last year and we like the staff and the way of treating the children is too good. The bus driver cares all the children in both picking and dropping them in the apartment complex. All our neighbors children are used to go to this school and all of them are felt happy.

My daughter's experience at BBS for the past three years has been nothing short of wonderful. The challenging coursework, caring teachers, supportive administration, and high expectations for learning have all helped to lead her to become a confident, learned, inquisitive student. A school that has chronic bad test scores, a school that doesn't make adequately yearly progress, and now a school that has two ongoing investigations by DCF. Some major changes need to be made.
