They refuse to let your child change their electives two days after school starts. When you come in to ask, the principal Kelly Gallagher runs out of the office to let her assistant deny the request. Instead of being accommodating and helping the student get to a subject they enjoy, they rufese to make any changes. Very awful and cruel policy in my opinion.

Bullying: the school does not do enough with the situation of bullying. Constantly students are hit, sexually assaulted physically and degraded. If people are being hit they have no other choice but to do so back BECAUSE staff don't do anything to prevent the situation but: "that's not kind". Not to mention the staff takes care of small issues first with big punishments and big issues are given small punishments.-----------------------Education:The school uses many methods to encourage and assist with learning. Before, I struggled with basic spelling, capitalization and punctuation.Personal experiences:1. My friend (whom I will not name here) was given a whole week's detention for taking one peice of candy. The same person tried to stab someone in the neck with a pencil and got a lunch detention.2. Like I said previously: ". . .small issues are given big punishments and big issues are given small punishments," and about how student have no choice but to hit back in a physical bullying situation, I had to punch someone when I told adults NUMEROUS times that I was being harassed physically and got two lunch detentions. I skipped them because I rightfully defended myself and was on thin ice of being suspended.Overall review:Would I recommend this school?: No, no I would not. The only good thing about this school is the encouragement and choices for education.

Millennium makes everyone feel welcome, has excellent staff, and is very good at educating their students.

this school is terrible lmao. nobody cares about anybody here. the teachers are so biased to other students and refuse to take action when somebody is genuinely being bullied/harassed. this is not a good environment for anyone that isn't a cishet white male. there are constantly students doing drugs and the students that genuinely need help are always shunned.

Horrible. Everytime I go there, the staff acts like I have intruded on their time. They are disrespectful and neglectful to the safety of my children.

Millennium Middle school is below Average school in terms of its educational faculty. Students who live within One Mile distance from school must WALK, which in itself is a good thing , except that City of South Lyon and Lyon Township along with Oakland county road commission have no concerns about the safety of the students while walking to and from school. Sidewalks on the South Lyon side are never shoveled or cleaned during winter months. Even though there is a Caution School sign on both sides of the Pontiac trail road, there are no traffic Lights, or crossing light , or crossing Guard to ensure the safety of the students who must cross the very busy Pontiac trail road. South Lyon School district refuses to apply for Safe School routes federal grant that pays for installation and maintenance of the MISSING Sidewalks, Traffic and crossing lights and law enforcement. If you care about the education and safety of your students try Ann Arbor or Novi schools for higher quality and better standards of Care
