I cannot speak highly enough about the experience my children have had at San Miguel Elementary. From the first day we walked through the doors, we were welcomed by a warm and inviting community of educators, staff, and families. The teachers are exceptional, providing engaging and challenging lessons that inspire a love of learning in their students. The curriculum is well-rounded, with a focus on both academics and character development.Beyond the classroom, the school offers a wealth of extracurricular activities, including sports, music, and art programs. My children have had the opportunity to explore their interests and develop new skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. What sets San Miguel Elementary apart, however, is the sense of community that permeates every aspect of campus life. Parents are actively involved in school events and activities, creating a true partnership between home and school.Overall, I can confidently say that San Miguel Elementary school provides an exceptional education in a caring and nurturing environment. I highly recommend it to any family looking for a top-notch educational experience for their children.

This school is filled with incompetent fools, and the same decrepit office staff that have been working there since I was attending the school! The seasoned office staff accounts for at least 75% of my issues regarding my child. The reorganization plan they say they were forced to put into place could have apparently been done before the school year started, but I sit here scratching my head wondering why these lazy folks waited until a month after school started to uproot all these children, and place them elsewhere, not to mention why would they waste the parents' time going to back to school night only to swap them out. If any of you can avid this place for your child I encourage you to do so, for parents like me whose children were moved, I encourage you to go to the main office and request a complaint form to file with the lauds at your earliest convenience!

This is the worst school ever, the VP at this school wasn't educated at all over the situation my child was going through. The principal and school psychologist really need to take classes on how to handle certain situations. They need to put their degrees to good use. They don t really care about a person s well being. They rank a 3 out of 10.! That says enough, see CA school ratings.

It is not fair for the school be rated low because of a couple of comments. Math and science was not my daughters strong subjects and because she wants to be a veterinarian we moved her to this school. The school has been great, it challenges and encourage my daughter to learn. Her math and science skills have catch-up her strong languange skills. I don't often agree with the teaching methods of LAUSD but rather than just complain and rely on the teachers I get involve and I spent time teaching her. I believe there is too much emphasis on test and no child left behind, which slows down and reduces the amount of the material cover. School is not a place to expect our kids to have many field trips, music and art. This are privileges that we take for granted. If you are pationate about anything your kid needs to improve their learning environment and safety, then you should do something about it instead of just complaining. For example, I volunteer my time for the past 3 yrs in the classrooms and last yr more than 20 kids pass the math angeles test. compare to 4 last yr.

I really hate that they don't have an entrance gate for kids with special needs only,I have seen how teachers strugle to try to keep the kids from runing to the streets, in couple occasions other parents had to run and hold kids runing straight to the street, its insane how dangerous is to try to keep these kids together when all the regulars class kids are getting in at the same time, im afraid to send my kid on the bus because of this and if I drop him off I stay until they're going inside because I know my kid is also a runner, this is scary and very irresponsible of the school, all the previous school's my kid attended did have a gate for special kids ...

My daughter is now in the 2nd grade. Her kindergarten teacher was great as well as her first grade teacher. I am very satisfy with her education. Her teachers will always keep me informed about how she is doing. They where always around to talk too. Lots of communication between parent and teacher.
