Our daughter had a wonderful experience at St. Francis. She fell in love with learning due to the hard work and talent of her teachers, who really went the extra mile to nurture not only her academic skills but her interest in extracurricular activities and the world around her. The school provided all of the kids with amazing opportunities to participate in writing, geography, robotics and science fair competitions, which my daughter absolutely loved. She also graduated completely prepared for high school, where she is excelling in the most rigorous classes offered. We also cannot say enough about the wonderful school community - teachers, parents and the students. The students are nurtured to be considerate and kind and to help others. St. Francis is a family.

My child has had an extraordinary experience at St. Francis. The academically rigorous curriculum has challenged and enthralled my daughter, who is excited to go to school every single day. The kids and parent communities are very special too - it is truly a family.

St. Francis Solano School - overall the school has a lovely community feel. We love the buddy system that is incorporated throughout the school curriculum. All the way the students support each other - I have seen nothing like it from any school before. As a previous parent has mentioned the 2nd grade is poorly run with a very unorganized teacher who although means well isn't able to stimulate the advanced students. The principal is lovely but unfortunately lets it up to the parents to fight their good fight. I would love to see her step in more and play the leadership role she can. Kindergarten and 1st grade where excellent although I do question the amount of minders allowed in one class and am concerned moving forward about the numbers. This school is so lovely that it could really be even better.

Strong science and math programs in middle school, robotics elective, contest opportunities in areas such as speech, writing, math, science fair and academic decathlon, outdoor ed., art docents, involved parent community, supportive and involved administration, students learning about caring for the environment, iPad integration in just about all subject areas,...... Need I say more! We love St. Francis!

Our school is Saint Francis Solano in Sonoma. There are good teachers, mixed with some unbelievably poor quality teachers. Getting thru second grade last year was devastating for most the students, as the teacher was simply incompetent academically (literally couldn't teach 2nd grade curriculum) and professionally (students were diminished by her). Sadly our child had the same teacher twice as she moved up from kindergarten. Compare that with another one of our children who missed her and has blossomed at the school. I can't warn parents enough to avoid 2nd grade, I'd even suggest they pull their kids for a year and come back. Otherwise the environment is safe, the children are respectful and the parents are very involved and good willed.
