My son is a transfer student from another school district. The school, staff and the teachers have done above and beyond to welcome and support him in every way. He has made friends the very first day he attended Meridian Park. His room teacher, Ms. Norton, is a brilliant and amazing teacher. She has this magic wand to get her class excited in learning and thriving everyday.

I love this school! The teacher really get to know your children as individuals, what their needs and strengths are. The community that has been created is inclusive and caring. I have a 1st grader and 3rd grader. My 1st grader loves school and can not wait to go back to Meridian Park in person. My 3rd grader is also thriving. He has some special needs but They have gone above and beyond to meet all of his needs and we as parents have been well informed the whole time. Mrs. Workman, She is amazing! She brings magic to the school. Her ability to meet kids in the world of books and get them excited is outstanding. I have never really thought that the librarian could make such a impact on a elementary school but she has. Simply wonderful.

My daughter went to meridian park, she started kindergarten and I am very happy for the great teachers. Very committed and supportive teachers. She learned reading, written and math in a very short time. Because, of this excellent teachers. I’m sure my 5 years old is very smart and fast learner but the help of her amazing teachers is incredible. Thank you meridan park teachers. May God bless you more.From a happy mom

Watch your back at this school and this school district. My child was a special needs student because of autism. The school alternates between writing him off as unintelligent and refusing to give him any accommodations. When I requested items be added to his IEP, I was given attitude by his teacher stating, "he's an average kindergartner" and the accommodations I requested would "add work for her." For the record, I took my son in for private testing which showed that not only is he above average, he's superior in intelligence. He just doesn't well in certain group situations, but the IEP teams are difficult to deal with and will write the IEP so vaguely they are of no use. School administration will never contact you as requested, and the school district is full of people that I swear not listening to parents is a requirement.

We switched to Meridian Park from a private Catholic school in Edmonds and love it! Healthy amount of parent participation, yet absolutely no politics amoungst the Moms! YAY! The teachers work well together, and the principal is a great leader, running about the school smiling and helping to make the school great. My son is quite advanced in reading, and was able to work at his reading level in a smaller group. The teachers try to address the needs of each child in the room this way. Beautiful, clean, newer school, with a large and lovely library. Opps for Highly Gifted as well as The Special Needs child. Year-round after-school clubs. Art docents, music, P.E.. Outside grounds are being redone, so that just adds to the awesomeness.
