My child's experience as well as my own has been amazing here at Echo Lake. Every teacher and support staff seems to care about all aspects of the student's learning and their wellbeing. My child has had lots of help learning and growing and has improved greatly being here. The communication amongst the staff and with parents is excellent and I really feel like I know what's going on with my child and how best to help and encourage them continue to grow. They have a great special education department as well as hardworking and involved therapists and counselors. The dean of students and the principal are great and make it a point to know the kids by name. I highly recommend this school.

My 2 kids were in 1st and 2nd grade last year and are very excited to head back for 2nd and 3rd this year. The school is wonderful and my kids love it there. They feel very comfortable with the curriculum and pace of learning as well as all the support they can get when they need it. They love the Teachers who are always engaged in what the students are doing and able to provide continuous support. The children here have been very pleasant and great as well, my kids have made many good friends.

We have had two kids go through Echo Lake and it has been a part of our life the last 12 years. I have high respect for the teachers there, we have had a very positive experience.

My daughter just started Kindergarten and is placed in Mrs. Smullin's class. My daughter loves her teacher and her new classmates, and it is all she talks about when she is at home. Principal Andrew Lohman is great too. He is on the younger side, is great with the children, and involved with each grade. My daughter is learning so much: writing and slowly learning to read and it is only October! Enrolling my daughter at Echo Lake was the best decision. It has inspired me to stay put in Shoreline to watch her grow up with the rest of the Shoreline kids (previously I had considered moving to diff town/school when she was a bit older like in 3rd or 5th grade). The school has made it clear to me that Shoreline is where I'd like to set my roots with my daughter.

I love how individualized Echo Lake is. Each kid learns at different rates and ways, but that is expected there. No one is singled out and no one is left out. Another amazing part of Echo Lake is their focus and recognition for character development. It most important to grow a generation of respectful, honest, caring young people because the academics will come. My third favorite thing about Echo Lake is the diversity of cultures. I've watched my neighbor become fluent and confident in her english in a short time. The more exposed to other cultures at a young age, the more effective they will be as adults in the working world.
