First year in middle school, it’s okay… Learning ehh, emotional support kinda, safety no because theres been 5 fight breakouts this year. Family engagement, barely anything. Teachers, some are strict as heck but some are kinda Nice, and special education you could say somewhat

I have been a member of this school I severely do not recommend it. The teaching is reasonable but the children get way with lotsTeachingThe teachers are quite kind and can be assertive when needed. They have some interesting teaching strategies depending on the teacher. Most have been there for quite a while which is a good sign.BullyingThe bullying at this school is completely out of control. I have heard many topics be discussed. Anywhere from sexuality to mental disabilities. The children are not held accountable for their actions when it is needed. The staff also targets certain children so the ones that seem good, can get away with a lot more. GradingDepending on the class, the grading can be quite tight but reasonably so. AttendanceThe attendance does not seem great until about 2nd period. The buses come into the school so late that most student have hundreds of bus tardies racked up. It seems unfair to the students that are trying to get a good education.

My child was chosen to join Madeira Fundamental. I allowed him to choose after giving me great reasons. I have never regretted the decision.

Overall, this school is better than the nearby alternative public middle schools. However, I have had a difficult time with communication. I have requested a conference with a guidance counselor by email as well as phone messages. I never heard back. On the other hand, the assistant principal has been great at communicating. The principal seems friendly, but I have had no personal interactions with him yet. There are some really mean and volatile children that go here. Just because its Osceola doesn't mean its exempt from bullies.

I have a child at OMS who is currently halfway through the sixth grade. The teachers and faculty seem to have a lot of passion for what they do which is hard to find in a lot of middle schools. I haven't heard about many fights happening at school, which is also rare at most of the local middle schools, and all of the adults are eager to nip problems in the bud before they have the chance to escalate. Overall, we're very pleased!

My daughter has has been a student now for 2 hrs going into 8th. I think the teachers need to spend a little more time time if and when they need it. And the after school tutoring thing seems to b a joke. She comes home and says. They tell her they don't know how to do it and to ask ur teacher. Please help with this situation. Other wise. It is a safe school for our children

5 stars~Osceola Middle School, home of the Chiefs, is a unique school with extracurricular activities for all students and a great music and arts program. Also, if you re the gamer type, our computer lab has a gaming program for 8th grade students. Our school has an AVID program which you don t necessarily see in other schools. AVID is a college readiness program to give you the skills and tools you need to be successful throughout high school and college. We also have many other clubs like Unclub, NJHS, Character Club, and PMAC. Our school also has a beautiful campus which consists of a huge court yard, an outdoor caf , a running track, and a basketball court. OMS sports are a great success. We have a track and field team, a boys and girls volleyball team, a boys and girls basketball team, and cheerleaders. Our school would be a terrific choice for your child!

Osceola Middle is a bully-free school; we make sure everything is safe here. The teachers, students, and our school staff are all friendly and respectful. Your unhappy days will disappear once you enter the gates of OMS. What makes our school a little more special? We have an AVID program. The AVID program gives kids an advantage or boost for high school and for our college readiness. Our school campus is pretty big. It is two stories, widely spread out, and it has open doors. I must say this school has a great environment. OMS has a dress code that isn t all that bad. Other than that, OMS has the potential to make you happy and succeed in your career and life

Some of your choices include: Art, Chorus, Band, Orchestra, AVID and many more. Osceola Middle School is not just your average school. Even though Osceola is not a fundamental school, we are taught like one. Parents are active in our community, they love helping. Our students, me included, are also very active. We have almost anything you can think to do. We have clubs from NJHS and Unclub to Archery and Volleyball. Our Deputy was awarded Resource Office for the State of Florida of the Year. Our teachers have multiple ways of teaching you, because they understand that people learn differently.GO CHIEFS!
