In my opinion, as a parent with an extremely ADHD preK student... this is a fantastic school. We were here for a year for work.. and do not like the area at all. We have a house in another state that we love... but don't want to go back to until she is out of this school. I get daily updates through the Class Dojo app... her teacher, Mrs. Smith, reminds me of a more lively Ms. Honey. (Matilda). The speech therapist is LOVELY and is very engaging with our little one. We have seen huge improvements in her development over the last year. When the school and teacher are the reason you stay in an apartment instead of your lovely house in Tennessee... you should know its a great school.

My child is in the pre kindergarten program and I believe these teachers are lacking. There is no communication between teachers and parents. They have you download an app for communicating and they dont even check it let alone use it. My child's first year was at Mildred Helms and the teachers were much more kind and were happy to tell you about how your child is doing. Even had Personalized notes for every child, everyday. Here at Walsingham we get the same note every day that says "good day." I dont even think my child is receiving the speech therapy he/she is supposed to be. How would I know? I have literally heard NOTHING about my child all year. We definitely wont be returning to this school another year. The lack of communication for children so young is very upsetting.

Average school. Kids are safe but no huge difference. Teachers are ok.I believe you would be better off next door at Southern Oak I heard while was there from other parents.

My daughter struggled with anxiety after a loss in the family. The staff and leadership at the school helped my daughter to feel more comfortable and were a big part of helping her to feel safe and at ease.I can't say enough great things about this school and the people that run it!

Since coming to Walsingham my daughter has grown so much academically. Every teacher she’s had has been amazing! They take time to build relationships and they really figure out how that student will thrive the most. Administration handles every behavioral situation in a way that every student involved feels safe at the end of every day.

Walsingham Elementary is a great school because of the Principal. Mrs. Williams is so nice and loves the kids.

The only thing I don't like is about the transportation, buses always late in the mornings and some kids don't have enough time for getting breakfast.

From the Principal, Vice-Principal, admin staff, teachers, classroom assistants, therapists, cafeteria staff to the maintenance crew, this school is exceptional. It's amazing how every child is treated individually and yet they are part of the whole too. LOVE this school.

My daughter is in kindergarten and she loves her teacher Mrs. Henson. The principal and assistant principle are very accessible and easy to talk to. They are open to letting parents get involved and the PTA is great. Above average for a public school, we recently came from private school.

Walsingham is an excellent school. My kindergartener looks forward to going to school every morning. The PTA is engaged, the teachers and staff are dedicated, and the Principals are accessible. I am most impressed with the resourcefulness of the teachers and principals to seek out and obtain the learning materials and computers needed to teach their students. I am amazed at how much my kindergartener's reading and writing has improved during this school year. After careful consideration, we chose Walsingham over other fundamental and magnet programs within the district.

Our family has been a part of the Walsingham family for four years. It is a terrific school filled with dedicated and loving teachers, staff, and administrators. They value communication with parents and caregivers. My child's teachers have been outstanding every year. They go above and beyond to make sure our children succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Students are enriched with opportunities like STEM club, Girlfriends, Battle of the Books, chorus, Multicultural Club, after school tutoring, etc. It is easy to be involved in the school through their very welcoming PTA. We didn't think twice when it came time to register our second child for kindergarten next fall. Walsingham is an excellent school, and we look forward to many more years there.

Love Walsingham! So much that when we moved out of zone I applied for a special permit to keep my children there! The staff is always friendly and I have adored the teachers my kids have had while being at WES. I love that they offer after school tutoring {for free} to help their students soar academically. My husband and myself visit the school a few times a month to have lunch with our girls and always have a pleasant experience. One of our girls has special needs so she receives services such as occupational and physical therapy along with speech and language therapy. She has thrived and developed beyond our expectations because she's able to receive these services within her school day. We love WES and highly recommend it!

Walsingham Elementary is a great school. Mr. Hathaway's leadership and involvement in the school makes this school a gem in Pinellas County. Children are greeted by classmates and administration each morning. My children are challenged by their teachers and peers. They love and respect their teachers! I feel comfortable communicating with their teachers and appreciate their quick feedback. There are many events to stay involved in the school without feeling overwhelmed.

I do not know why the negative feedback. Maybe in the past... My experience with the school is impeccable! As a new transfer from another state (school already began) with a third grader {girl}, the transition could have been awful... Students and staff here have been welcoming and extended the warmest care and genuine concern. Thus creating a Principals' List, Perfect Attendance student! The curriculum is up to par with the federal guidelines and there is plenty attention paid to ensure that the students are knowledgeable. There are plenty of tools and resources to keep parents informed of their child's' progress. Based on my experience, I stand by and would recommend this school 100%.

Overall, I'm not impressed. More needs to be done about bullying in the school. The teachers are quick to accuse students of being disrespectful but are themselves disrespectful and bullying.

Walsingham Elementary has a faculty that averages 15 plus years together. This is because of the camaraderie and climate of the school. Despite the strain of a new curriculum (Common Core), the teachers continue to bond together helping to provide a positive learning and working environment. Masters degrees are commonplace as we encourage each other to continue with lifelong learning. We host nationally awarded teachers. The student population is a nice mix of cultures, and socioeconomic levels. In general, the parents are supportive and demonstrate that they care about their child's education and are willing to help at home. The only other place better than ours, would have to be a fundamental..
