Many families are unhappy and leaving. The negative reviews are accurate. Tons of bullying throughout the school with subpar academics, large class sizes, and disengaged, unprofessional teachers. The administration is old and indifferent to it all. The weekly lunch menu consisting of McDonalds, Chick-Fil-A, and pizza is so unhealthy.

We moved to the area last year and enrolled our daughter in this program. She was accepted by her peers and has grown exponentially. This is a great school. Rigorous academic in an environment that nurtures the faith and soul of the child.

Terrible administration. Ignorant and incompetent teachers and staff who refuse to be open minded. They do have student favorites and do not care about the well being of their students. There are teachers who need to retire already. They do not need to be teaching anymore. Stay away from this school.

This is a school I’m having a horrible experience at. We are overwhelmed by homework. It’s not even just complaining, it’s way too much for 4-14 year olds. Teachers obviously have favorites, and they’re always the white girls. In my grade, I have yet to see a colored girl get into the popular girl group. Racism and sexism are obviously a problem here. Teachers show that they do not care about you. I was sent to the nurse with a possibly broken finger and the only thing I recieved was a bag of ice. Not even a call home to let my parents know. Teachers show no respect towards the students unless you’re a white female. Students show lack of maturity, whether it’s speaking appropriately or simply being quiet. Please do not send your student here for the sake of themselves.

My experience here was poor. I went here for 10 years and I learned that very few teachers actually care about the students. It's obvious that they pick favorites. Someone had almost broken my wrist and they were only suspended for the afternoon. The principal then lied to my parents about the situation after it had happened. Overall there were few good teachers that actually cared about the students. If you don't learn the way they want you to it becomes really hard to get through the school.

Heartbreaking, devastating, a mediocre education ruined by a principal who does not know how to be a leader, and could care less about the children. It's sad she hides behind God because she is truly no real follower of his.

My experience at Saint James was horrendous. I had learned very little until I moved to the STEM school just down the road. Teachers did not care for their students like they do at STEM, and overall, everything at Saint James was at most, sub-par.

We left a great Catholic School in the Atlanta area that we loved a few years ago and were not sure what school to choose here in Savannah. I spoke with several parents and toured the schools. They seemed fine, but not quite like where we came from. I decided to ask my 3 kids which one they liked best. They responded"St James!". They could not exactly say why they liked it best, they just did. It took me longer to figure it out, but now I know. It is walking into the school only the second time and getting welcomed by your name, it is the support and love you receive when something unforeseen happens to your family or a classmates, it is the open hearts and doors to listen if you have a problem or a concern, it is the challenge to always do and be your best, it is the love to learn and do better that you see in the children and staff. The faculty is always looking for new ways to enhance the curriculum. The sense of community you have is amazing. I can't say how happy we are to be at St. James, we feel very blessed. I am so glad I listened to my children this time, they knew!
