I went to this school in 1995 and bullying was and all through the years apparently remains a problem... What a disgrace!

This school is pretty good, but not the best. I moved here from a different city that is far away from here, and so far so okay. The people there are good, I made friends pretty easily. The curriculum and teachers are just okay, but some teachers are good if you get lucky. Pine Valley needs some new 6th grade teachers for science and math. However, I have the weridest math class ever. Before the start of class, we have to meditate, I don't know what's up with this teacher but I guess its fine. The teaching is just okay, not much practice math the most important subject in 6th grade doesn't even offer retakes. And also, for lunch sometimes the basketball courts are open, but sometimes we have to play on the fields. Pine Valley needs to organize there sucudule so we can have accses to both of those places. In summary, its just an ok, common school.

I had the best time! I made a group of friends that I still talk to after moving to Connecticut. The teachers were really great and I enjoyed their encouragement and inspiration. The only issue I had was that a lot of the stuff was learned through books rather than activities, but other than that it was a great experience and i would 100% recommend.

HORRIBLE. My child suffered through bullying. The teachers didn't even do anything. The teachers pick favorites, and their curriculum in general is horrible.

This is a definite 5 out of 5 because it has met the standerds for me. And I just love the teachers in general!

Pine Valley Middle School is NOT ELITIST as one reviewer stated. My child has friends that needed extra help in Math and the school responded by creating classes and one on one teaching situations. The teaching staff is mostly inspired and kind to all students. The administration takes the time to be engaged with all students. The efforts to end bullying are especially effective and well thought out. I am grateful that my child is here. This is our third and last year so I speak from many experiences.

Pine valley has been a poor excuse for a middle school. It helps the top students and does not care about the rest. It is very elitist or pretending and trying to be and in reality being the worst in SRVUSD. Most of the teachers my son has had have been below average. Classes taught by the book and only using the book. Administration at the top is the worst principal I've had to deal with. Has his idea, his way and only his way is the right way. Very insecure leader that is a very small, narrow minded person. Does not have school safety as a number one priority and students are beat up and bullied and nothing is done to protect them. I do not feel my school is safe and protected at this school but bullied by the principal, staff into having their mind set on what is reality.v

This is an outstanding school. The teachers communicate well and I have had 3 kids go through this school and a 4th about to enter next year. As expected some of the low reviews are just plain silly by middle school kids mad about homework or the one parent who "heard" that Iron Horse will give their kid a 92% chance to go to college and be successful. Not sure how you measure that because success is measured in different ways. Iron Horse is a great school but that doesn't make Pine Valley "terrible". Please get a clue.

Wonderful school, wonderful staff! The teachers really care at Pine Valley. I now have my second child at Pine Valley and it hasn't changed. Love it! Lots of great parents too who are very involved. I had my oldest child at Iron Horse who was bullied then failed miserably because of it. We moved to Pine Valley and they made a world of a difference. They cared. I feel like no child really is left behind there.
