Life Learn Life Learning Academy showed up just in time during my eldest Son's Sophomore year. The traditional high school environment wasn't working for him he became disillusioned, discontent, and disengaged from school. THANKS to a supportive administrative staff and its teachers who welcomed my son with open arms that was patient with shoulders to lean on and always an open ear to listen. With that strong support he successfully graduated with over a 3.5 GPA and went on to attend a out of state university and is now doing very well in his adult life. When my youngest son was entering high school, I didn't hesitate. I enrolled him in LLA! He to, is doing amazingly well. I highly recommend to a parent who sees their child struggling in a huge classroom setting and not being successful to check out Life Learning Academy it's well worth it.

I'm just a community member who read today that Life Learning Academy has suspended a student who, in a poem she wrote in a personal journal, expressed empathy with the perpetrator of the recent Connecticut tragedy. I totally disagree with any school that models censorship and punishment as responses to a personal expression. We should instead strive for a community of communication where we teach kids how to deal with their emotions rather than shutting them down out of fear. This is a shameful example of education.
