1Teaching at Allen is made enjoyable by the supportive teachers rather than the principal, who remains neutral and distant. The principal fails to advocate for teachers when necessary and appears disengaged. Despite the lack of support from the principal, I am fortunate to have a wonderful staff which makes the teaching experience less isolating. I do not suggest considering employment at this location due to the lack of support provided by the administration. The administrator tends to shift blame to the district for any unresolved issues. Educators often express frustration regarding the insufficient backing and feeling unheard by the school district or the principal. Moreover, the absence of a school-wide discipline policy leaves teachers solely responsible for managing challenging behaviors, particularly those students who exhibit anger in a detrimental manner.

The principal is neutral about important issues. He will not have teachers backs during important problems that arise. Good people come to this school and quickly leave due to lack of support from administration and too much additional work added to their plates. The teachers here are such a great team and very hard working.

Allen school es una escuela maravillosa! La principal siempre esta al pendiente de todo. Ella esta dispuesta a escuchar y ayudar en lo que pueda. Muestra interes en la educacion como tambien en los valores y principios de los ni os. Me encanta en la manera que promueven la lectura. Mis hijos no sabian hablar ingles, y en 1mes ya eran bilingues. El progreso fue muy notable, no solo en el idioma, sino tambien en matem ticas y lectura. Es muy notable el interes que tienen las maestras en el desarrollo integral de los ni os. La escuela es organizada y limpia. Por ultimo debo decir que muchos padres estan involucrados en las actividades de la escuela.

I am a former student of Allen Elementary. I attended K-4th grade and was truly sad when I had to move. The teachers were caring and displayed great leadership. There was always a great sense of community between staff and parents. I am now 24 and a first year teacher myself (sadly in a different state) however I still hold fond memories of the activities and sense of community experienced and try to incorporate the love of learning into all my students just as it was instilled in me at Allen.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with our principal. Bullying should be taken seriously. I hope you can resolve your concerns with her and perhaps any parents and/or teachers that share your thoughts. You can always set up a meeting with the school district if you feel you need to go above and beyond. I love our school and it's not often that we hear of anything like this going on.
