The school has two courses the normal course and Magnet program. The normal course is not at all good (if your child is capable). I am comparing this with the other state from where we moved in. The environment for the normal course is not good at all. Kids fight, use all sorts of profanity including racist comments. On racism related problem though, I have experienced that if the incident is brought to notice, school takes immediate action but as such there is no proactive measure to stop such behavior's. However, I have heard from my acquaintances (quite a few of them including colleagues and friends) that the magnet course is good and caters to children and parents looking to for more academic challenge. The school management is very defensive about any incident and will try to point back to the complainant instead of working with the parents it is always us vs you type of attitude.

My daughter went to this school six years ago in the magnet program and now I have a son there in fourth grade also in the magnet program. This is a wonderful school! The teachers are great, the BEST in Wicomico and the Principle and Vice principle also can't be beat. I only wish my children could go there for the whole twelve years of school. It prepares them to work hard and it's not always easy but they had plenty of fun! Too Bad that my daughter in stuck at WIHI now but if it weren't for this school she would not have been in the top classes at WIHI. IT PAYS OFF!!!
