I second the bullying review. This school is horrible at handling it. In fact, the faculty and staff don’t deal with it. It’s in the Lindbergh school district, so I would chose public school in this case.

it was ok, the bullying was horrible though for so many people. The faculty did nothing for it.

We moved here from out of state and after visiting several schools in the area we selected SCL. It has turned out to be an excellent choices. Both our children have adapted well and love the school. The academic rigor is challenging, the teachers are extremely caring and involved, and the parents have all been very welcoming. I highly recommend the school to others.

I chose to send my children to St. Catherine Laboure based on recommendations from friends and acquaintances. I have not been disappointed with this decision. Every single teacher that my children have had has gone above and beyond their expected duties as educators. The principal is energetic and dedicated to ensure that each student receives an excellent education. The parents are very involved, which only solidifies the family-type atmosphere that this school and parish provide. My children are thriving and I could not be happier with my decision. My friends' children, who have since graduated from SCL, are flourishing in high school and college. They have told me that because of the education that they received from SCL, they were well-prepared for the rigorous curricula of their continued education.

St. Catherine Laboure is a wonderful school. Their teachers and staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed! We started at this school 3 years ago and didn't really know anyone. Now we feel like the school and parish are our second family. My kids have never been more excited to go to school everyday! If you are looking for a catholic school in this area I highly recommend you take a tour. You won't regret it! Especially after you meet our wonderful principal and assistant principal - you will not find a more energetic team in any other school. We absolutely love this school!

I wanted to love having my three children go to school here, but after several years I am disappointed in our choice to send them here. A few of the teachers are good (not great), but others are definitely not worth the cost of private school tuition. They are behind the times with educational tools and techniques, and seem ill-equipped to handle the needs of individual students despite a relatively low student to teacher ratio. Most of the parents come off as being very friendly, but if you are not one of the majority that drives an $80K SUV you will eventually feel inferior to the moms that obviously spend school time with a personal trainer so they can compete over who looks the best in yoga pants. The school talks a great deal about anti-bullying, but I have witnessed first hand that what is preached is not necessarily practiced. The kids can be mean, and there is an obvious connection between spoiled children and bad behavior. The faculty and staff sometimes seem oblivious to this. There is definitely a sense of arrogance at this school but I don't understand what they have to be arrogant about.

SCL has an amazing school and parish community. We have had children in the school for 4 years now and have been very happy with all of the teachers. The principal is energetic and is excited about the education of our children and about building their faith. The pastor is a great speaker and I look forward to hearing his homily at mass each Sunday. I love attending the school masses as well, both priests do such a great job relating to and engaging the kids. I have met some truly amazing parents and families who really go above and beyond to support the school and the community. SCL was a great choice for us!

Our kids went to St. Catherine two years. We took them out and put them in a neighboring Catholic school. At the time, our son's teacher was so mean that he would cry at night. Many of the parents are well off and stuck up. Many parents hold their kids back so they will do better. The pastor is as conceited as the parents, and very liberal.

The priest is not involved with the students whatsoever. Mostly everyone who goes there is conservative which I like but then the teachers and head staff along with priest are all very liberal.

We love this school. It's our second year here and the teachers thus far are excellent! The principal and her staff are all amazing and strive for excellence in academics. They also offer so many extracurricular programs that most typical schools can no longer staff. We toured many schools, both private and public and decided on this school because the student ratio to teacher was small, the work I saw coming out of the kids were far better than I had seen in some other schools. And the community of parents and families have all been very kind and seem to really care about their kids education. My child was in their pilot Jr-K program last year (it's sometimes called a developmental kinder program in other schools) and by the end of the school year my child was reading sentences and sounding out unfamiliar words pretty well. I do believe, in general, most private schools are usually a year ahead academically. But this school is not only ahead but equipped with great and caring teachers. The fact that many of the teachers have been teaching at that school for so long is also a testament to a great administration and principal. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking!

Amazing school, staff and principal! We are very satisfied with this school and church. Two of our three children attend and we are very pleased.
