DWE is such a lovely little neighborhood school: small class sizes, experienced teachers, events that involve the whole family... congratulations prospective parents, you found a gem!

Love the small class sizes and that the staff seem to know all the kids—strong instruction without sacrificing things kids need like fresh air/lots of learning through play.

Deepwood is a beautiful little school! Small class sizes, happy and established staff, and a very upbeat and communicative principal.

Amazing school in the heart of Round Rock! Went to school in the 1980’s. Their were so many people loved that loved this school/ neighborhood so much they decided to stay and raise families. My sons went from K-5. Great teacher and administrators. Caring and thoughtful staff that gave my children a wonderful foundation in education for their academic careers. Some of the favorite memories- Harvest Hoedown, Chili Cookoff, Writers Workshop Day, Veterans Day, Sockhop. Children will be lucky to go to this school!

My experience as a grandparent that is the one that picks up my granddaughter I see and hear her happiness everyday. I have completed the application to become a volunteer. Information is sent out very timely and all questions are answered.

because they have great teachers and all of the teachers are so very sweet and nice and kind there is so much to learn and instead of being bored to learn the teachers make it way more fun!! and my teacher Mrs. Deanda is the most sweetest most kind teacher ever and our principal is the best I could never ask for a better principal.

I wanted to love this school, but the staff and administration let both me and my child down. The inability of the staff to be flexible to all performance levels in the classroom coupled with a severely inept administration was truly disappointing. In addition, if you're not part of the "in crowd" of mom's forget feeling like you're in a small, community based school. Transferred out and my child did a complete 180 and actually LOVES school now. Hoping for better days for Deep Wood.

Transfered my daughter to this school this year, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the decision. The principal is calm, organized, welcoming, and knowledgeable. My daughter's teacher has just the right combination of classroom discipline and warmth. The school is calm and organized during the morning drop-off and afternoon pickup -- a far cry from the previous RRISD school we attended. Afterschool enrichment programs engage the kids in multiple interest areas- cooking, art, film-making, dance, math and science, etc Glad to be in this community.

Great school, nice, friendly and involved parents, awesome principal, Ms Perkins, and the staff is also wonderful. Mrs. Williams is a very good "K" teacher and we look forward to next year. We have moved but will continue to drive to Deepwood because our experience ( and my grand child's) has been good. She was asked if she would like to try a new school and she is very happy to stay at Deepwood. It's a nice size school and parents are down to earth, good people to have for involvement with school activities. The education has been very good. I recommend this school and neighborhood.

Deepwood is simply THE BEST! I attended this school when I was a child and was thrilled when my son was able to attend as well. Most of the teachers are still there from 20 years ago as well as the counselor. In my families opinion, the staff is like none other. My son attended a different school last year and the difference in what he has learned in just a half year is UNBELIEVABLE! The teachers care and best of all, they know how to teach the kids! I don't know why someone posted that they do not go out of their way for gifted children b/c that is just what they did for my son. He was ahead in everything and scoring at above grade level. They worked with him on making sure he was challenged everyday. Deepwood is the best in TEXAS!

As a parent, I am very pleased with this school. It is not only a school, it is a community, and that translates into more attention for each student. Teachers know the students outside their own grade level, and students feel a sense of belonging. Small elementary schools such as this one can be very good for our children because they can incorporate progressive education alongside a sense of civil responsibility. Kudos!
