My daughter said she was being bullied and harassed. She also said one of her friends got inappropriately touched by another student and nobody did anything. I'm not sure if she is lying but just to be on the safe side I'm putting here. Stay safe out there!

My grandson's first grade class has 22 students which is also a Spanish immersion class. I feel that is too many students for the teacher since she is teaching two languages. English and Spanish. My two sisters were teachers and always had over 22 students. They did their best but always felt some students were not getting the benefit and attention they needed for learning.

So far all the staff has been so helpful and so very kind with my kiddos. I love how involved they are and proactive with communication.

Love this school ... the administration is so visible and involved. My daughter adores her teachers and is so excited to start the new year!

We love Old Town. The teachers and administration work very hard to make things fun and engaging for the students. Not an easy task during a global pandemic. The special education department is phenominal. Even when virtual, the special education department worked hard to make my child feel seen, heard, and loved. As for homework: research indicates that homework has little or no effect on academic success. So I am pleased that OTE doesn't overburden students unnecessarily with pointless homework assignments. It gives students time to play and do outside of school enrichment activities.

My daughter adores it. very friendly staff, small class size. The only one downside: I would prefer a little more academically challenging for her.

We love Old Town Elementary! The teachers go above and beyond for their students, this more than a “job” for them. The administration is always present and involved. The small class room sizes is a bonus that most do not have in Round Rock ISD. This is a wonderful school, it has lived up to every expectation and we are so thankful!

Love the trachers at the school- not a fan of changes new principal has made- things that used to make the school homey & special have ended. The students used to be able to arrive to school 30 minutes early to catch up on reading, homework or study, now they can only get in classtoom 10 minutes before bell rings. Safety patrol students used to get to play kickball for 15 minutes after their afternoon duty. The kids are sent home immediately now- so there is less incentive to want to be safety patrol. Siblings used to be able to wait for the kids working their safety payrol shift, now siblings have to be picked up. As a parent, it is too much of a hassle to make 2 trips to the same school The school has award ceremonies to recognize good behavior & grades. It used to be multiple students in the sane class were able to be recognized for citizenship- as of today only 1 student per class is recognized. Super sad!! All kiddos deserve a chance if they are behaving! I only hope Old Town's new principal will understand she is impacting things in a negative way at Old Town and keep things as they were!!

Old Town has been our family's school since my child entered kinder there. The staff is always so welcoming and really seem to care about the community they serve. High quality education is top priority there and with their recent launch of PBL, my child has been more engaged in school than ever! Great school!

You can feel great about attending Old Town -- the state rating system is ridiculous. It doesn't show what kind of education a child from a family that participates in their education will get. My kids aren't brilliant or TAG material, but got commended on their TAKS scores. Great, warm teachers can be found at Old Town and the new principal and vice-principal (Aug 2011) are very admired and will only improve the school. There are so many FUN ways for a parent to get involved in Old Town.
