My time at Roscoe Middle School was great. The teacher are so excited and proud to be working here, they are respectful and understand. You can tell they really do care. They take bullying very seriously, they will do everything in their power to prevent problems. Academic wise, the school is at a challenging rate but it’s still doable. Overall, its an excellent experience

We've had a great experience. Teachers are great. Admin attentive and accommodating... And no, we don't do sports or take tests well. But, my Son respects the teachers and causes no issues and adds to the conversation. I'm not dumbfounded about some of the experiences people shared here, but I think you need to look at how you will handle a situation (demeanor, caring, saying, thank you and following up diligently) to help direct the outcome....

I went to Roscoe Middle School, and I loved it! All the teachers were so friendly and not at all biased in any direction, and I made such special connections among the teachers, staff, and other students. I learned so much, and the teachers were incredibly helpful. They paid attention to each students's needs and personalities, and understand that fish aren't made to climb trees. Most of the teachers are lighthearted and love to joke around, and have fun in the classroom while having students hands-on apply things they've learnt to real life.

Will habitually contact Department of Family Services on families for every minor bump, bruise, scratch or scrape. Excessive amount of weekday and weekend home work assignments, Detentions, Detention Detention for every minor inconceivable infraction imaginable. Staff will highly recommend you medicate your children to address basic kid issues. School district is more interested in teaching your children how to pass state tests so they can receive more state money. Hope you have a lot of vacation, lots of days off for teachers for all those P/T conferences. Finally its never their problem or fault. Just wait, you'll see.

I have the worst taste in my mouth because of RMS. My child bullied for all 3 years of attending. The staff did nothing to help them. it came to the point where they are now in intensive therapy still in the sophomore year at Hononegah. The teachers are too hard on the kids and have set unrealistic expectations of 11-13 year olds. Utterly ridiculous to have your child come home crying because a teacher has called them stupid in the classroom. A walking travesty of a educational environment. I have never been more disappointed in grown adults. These teachers bully and pick on students for not being capable to answer. My child had an undiagnosed disability in math and they made life hell. As teachers and educators, aren't you supposed to help students who struggle?

I never thought I'd love middle school as much as I did. Roscoe has great schools, and Roscoe Middle School is one of the best in my opinion. The teachers are awesome, and have a special bond with every student. The principals do everything they can to keep the school safe and under control. They don't overwhelm you with homework. You still do all the homework required, but it's not overdone. The staff is very friendly and helpful to all students. It was a huge privelige to get to atttend RMS. I loved it and would definately recommend this school to anyone out there looking for a good district.

I had three children attend RMS... it is a fantastic school! I have children on opposite ends of the spectrum, honors and IEP... the teachers there go above and beyond to help the students learn. I moved to this area specifically for the school and I am so glad I did. Teachers and principal were always there to help, called or emailed me to keep me up to date and I love the parent portal to keep up with my childrens grades... we all absolutely loved this school!!

Moved to this school district because I was told it was great. I highly disagree. Unless you are an all A student or play sports, you are nothing to the prinipal and staff. If your child is struggling there is no help for them. All they tell you is bring your child to zero hour in the morning. It is no help if you are lost with a subject. Zero hour is if you need to ask a teacher a brief question not explain yesturdays lesson that your child don't understand. They worry more about giving detentions then a child getting a good education. Principal is no help in trying to figure out a way of having your child achieve, all she does is blame your child instead of helping. Teachers don't help they just blame the child. My child is struggling very much in school and I'm very upset that nobody cares. In the process of trying to figure out a much better school for my child. Picking this school is the biggest mistake I ever made!!!!!
