My child attended Ebinport Elementary for many years and recently graduated. One teacher and two staff members constantly harassed him. Having ADHD, he was singled out constantly, two teachers constantly belittled him and it’s because of his treatment here that he’s in therapy. I filed many complaints only to have them ignored even by the school superintendent. After going over their heads, I started to get results after six months of emails. If you have a child with ADHD please get your child an advocate because this school does not follow federal government guidelines. He did not feel nor was he safe here enduring many “accidents” which were chalked up to “kids will be kids.” This school use to be wonderful and can be again with a change of administration, teachers and staff. I hope no child will ever have to suffer the way mine did.

As a former employee I am now in treatment for PTSD as a result of my experiences while working there.

I've had 3 children come through Ebinport and have had great experiences. The Spanish Immersion Program is excellent, I only wish they'd had the program when my older children were there. We will remain in this district as long as we live in Rock Hill.

Staff is very caring and involved. My daughter has had amazing teachers in K, 1st, and 2nd grade. 2nd grade spanish immersion teachers are amazing and very dedicated and go the extra mile for the kids. I am excited about my son starting K at Ebinport. I refuse to move from Rock Hill bc I am convinced that my kids must stay for the Spanish Immersion which is not available anywhere else in York County.

My Daughter loves going to Sunset Park. We love the Gifted and Talented Programs along with great structure with teachers that really care.

We were transferred to this school when my kids were in 1st and 3rd grade from York Road Elementary. I didn't realize what a good school was until we got there. The principal is excellent, the teachers are excellent, and they do all this despite having many more children on free and reduced lunch and being located in a state that consistently underfunds education. I'm sorry that my older son is graduating this year -- in 3 years they took my son who was at the 12% to 75% in math on national tests. The Spring show includes everyone and is a blast of talent and fun. Our only disappointment is the school needs more money for more challenging programs because they used their Title I money very well, but it was given to another school 2 years ago despite the need in our school.
