I would rate my experiences at this school on a 1-10 scale a 10. The teachers and the principals care a lot about education. They do not like anyone out of the classrooms during instructional times, but let you use the bathroom if it is an emergency. The school offers rewards for good behavior. The principal started a twitter challenge. He will tweet out a challenge everyweek, so far he has done a challenge over reducing skipping by 25% and no fights. You have to be able to complete this challenge over a period of 2 weeks. Once you pass the challenge you can wear joggers and warmups for the day. It is a good reward, because we have dress code. Another reward is a PBIS. If you are good for the whole month and no more than 2 unexcused absences and 3 tardies you are allowed to go. They let us sign up for different things. There is a technology place where students can hang, 2 movie stations, the gym, and games. Other PBIS have involved student grade level competitions and against the teachers. The sophomores won the kickball tournament and the freshman won the volleyball. I love CC for rewarding us good kids.

This High School is what you make of it. The more time and energy you place into your education, the more the school and teachers will step up and support your goals for your education. I had an excellent four years here, and I would rather have gone nowhere else for my high school education.

Crawford County High School is not a good school. They preach anti-bullying but don't stand by it. The students run that school. There are at least 1-2 fights a week. The kids just don't have motivation to learn there. In return these kids effect the ones that are there to learn. When I signed my daughter up they tried to give me a hard time about putting my 10th grader in AP/Honors classes. I had to jump through hoops to get her in them. Its like the kids are there to just socialize. The a disrespectful to the teachers and the teachers allow this to go on. This school needs some new people in there that can lead and take control. As you can see above the test scores and college readiness reflect these issues.

Crawford County High School is a great place. The teachers are really well. It is more of a problem with the students. They expect the best, but put forth no effort. They claim the teachers can't teach, but talk during class and never study or pay attention. I have excellent grades because I work hard and listen to the teachers. They know what they are talking about, and thy give us the tools we need to succeed. The technology department isn't the best because of the lack of support and funds. The TSA (Technology Student Association) Chapter here is doing great things, and has even made it to the National conference this year. The staff and faculty are welcoming and nice. All in all, this is a fine school!

People use CCHS activities and programs as an excuse to say it's an excellent school. I attended Crawford County High School all four years and the teachers only hand out violations/or enforce the rules due to their mood or race. People show favoritism and I only had three good instructors out of all four years. It is a very racist and harsh place for a student to be and a lot of discrimination. I would not recommend that anyone enroll their child into this school. CCHS can get you ready for Tech school, but it does not prepare you for college at all. The counselors care nothing about your child or his/her issues. Also,if you are a senior and getting ready for college, I advise you do not seek help from the counselors. I have lost many scholarships thinking that I was getting help when I wasn't. This school will never succeed unless there is a new principal, new board members, and some new teachers.
