Rescue Elementary once stood as a beacon of excellence within the Rescue District. It represented an ideal combination of dedicated educators and a closely connected community. However, in the last three years, the school has experienced a decline in its sense of community. The new administration has created an environment in which parents feel excluded from the campus. Additionally, students with learning disabilities are not receiving adequate support. A significant portion of their support time is devoted to completing general education assignments rather than focusing on remediation and developing more effective strategies to address their challenges. As a parent, I find it disheartening to observe the trajectory the school is taking.

Not very great the 1st teacher picked her favorites and ignores children who are new. Pulled my child out and his new school EDCOE was wonderful and helped him succeed. Guess what he won first prize at the Eldorado County fair for one of his school projects. Dont have to deal with the teacher smart remarks and name calling anymore.

My twin daughters are now halfway through 2nd grade. They are very happy in school and are always excited about going to school. The teachers they have had since kindergarten have been exceptional. The principal Mr. Haley has been very good at keeping parents informed and he and his staff seem to take an genuine interest in every student there.

My son started at Rescue this school and I have been very impressed with his experience. The teachers there are amazing and really work together. I often see other teachers working in his classroom to offer support with the large class sizes. There are also buddy classrooms to offer support. He comes home from school everyday happy. He has grown academically and socially this year and love the problem solving strategies they are teaching him on the yard. I also love the PTC and how they call themselves a "village". I love the support and family at this small, country school.
