Buckeye is a wonderful school! The teachers truly care about their students and are very responsive to any parent questions or concerns. I have volunteered in the classroom for several years and have always felt appreciated and welcomed. Mr. Cadden seems to know every student by name and can often be seen out on the playground chatting with the kids. We love this school and are so happy to be a part of the Buckeye family.

10! My children love Buckeye more and more each year. They do what they can to accommodate everyone.

Wonderful experience with my children going to this school. Also wonderful inclusion for kids with all abilities.

I've had 3 kids attend this school. I love the implementation of GLAD training for the teachers across the curriculum. My kids have had opportunities to learn compassion, a service-mindset and leadership. They have been involved in peer tutoring in many different aspects. I feel the teachers truly care and work to meet each child's individual needs.

Both of my boys are in special ed classes. Learning differences are supported and IEPs are followed. If for some reason something falls through the loop, the principal has always supported my concerns. My older son has ADHD and when he attended the principal was firm but extremely fair dealing with behavior issues. I believe my children not only learned their academics, but also how to be a good, kind, and responsible person.

We have had difficulty at every stage in trying to get the administration at this school to realize that our child is different. The glowing reviews here appear to be posted by (a) parents not at all engaged in the actual educational process ("tons of fun events" should not be a qualifier for a great school), or (b) parents of children without special needs. While the school rewards positive behavior, they are relentless in browbeating children that do not conform to their rigid structuralism.Should you be shopping for schools for a child with special needs, run far and fast from this school.

I think that newcomers to this school should know that even though the school has a small town feel, there are a lot of politics that come into play. I know that this happens at may schools but it seems even more so at Buckeye. I was really wishing that it would be different but the rumors were all true. Tick off the wrong person and your child will be affected as a result, try to talk to the admin about it and you will be scrutinized for not "going with the flow". Im sad that my kids have several more years there.
